    New Thermostat from 1AAuto.com 1aau.to/ia/1ACT...
This video shows you how to install a new TRQ thermostat on your 2005-2010 Chevrolet Cobalt. The thermostat controls the flow of coolant in your vehicle’s engine. When a thermostat fails, it can lead to overheating, which will damage the engine. One sign of a faulty thermostat is a cool upper radiator hose when the engine is at full operating temperature. It’s important to replace the thermostat immediately if you suspect it is failing.
This process should be similar on the following vehicles:
    2005 Chevrolet Cobalt
    2006 Chevrolet Cobalt
    2007 Chevrolet Cobalt
    2008 Chevrolet Cobalt
    2009 Chevrolet Cobalt
    2010 Chevrolet Cobalt

Advice: If you choose to take out the computer, put a little note on each cord, so you don't get them mixed up.

If you go from the bottom it is really easy to get at with almost no disability required

3 hour job on a 2010 cobalt lt pretty easy, an extension is helpful on many bolts for it. make sure to put all fuse box parts back carefully and make sure everything is seated correctly before putting the head of the fuse box back on. The bell housing for the thermostat will also spit out a lot of coolant even after the draining.

I just replaced thermostat on girlfriends car according to the video and went well until trying to start car to add antifreeze back and would not crank back over. Believe maybe the ecm or fuse box was not assembled back correctly. Would anyone know if this would cause the vehicle to not turn over? The lights come on so it has power but no crank

Don't scrape gaskets in situ like that with a harder material on aluminum. Brass brush first. Picks second. Some gasket surfaces will be very unforgiving if you subract material by accident.

I've seen a few videos where they just removed the bolts but they really struggle , although you have to take a lot apart in your video it makes it a lot easier. Thanks for the information
