Also you can cut the hole where the jet return is so you don’t have to use an adapter. There’s a bigger jet nozzle that is supposed to come with that filter. Then you can install your plunger shut off valve
I just hooked this one up(upgraded this year) and as soon as I turn it on it makes a loud whining/screaming noise. Gonna try and figure it out tomorrow but I really hope I didn't get a bad pump. This has been my luck all last summer with the originals from my pool
Yeah I know mine just did the same thing but the noise subsided. It hasn’t pumped out or into the filter chamber yet. I’m trying to figure out what the heck is up with this.
My second replacement pump did that. Motor . loud scream. They told my send it back . i did. Got a new one...barely used ..and its not working well either. Done w Intex. Last 3 summers wasted time returning their pump.
I have got a C2500 pump. Today I found out that basically after it works for a while 2 hours, it looses it's "power" or water output. In order to fix that I have to literally take the filter out, run it without the filter, and then reinstall the filter to restore the "strength" of the water flow. It's getting very annoying. Somehow filter after a while is restricting water flow so I'm the point I don't know what to do. The filter I had in there for a week only and it's literally super clean. This makes no sense
@@116falconer at first I just used a menards rubber decreaser at the end of 1.5 inch tubing that came with pump( basically decreasing it at the pool side) . I had pump replaced, and now Im using the adapter to decrease from 1.5 to 1.25 at the pump (where u connect hoses at the pump). So far so good, but filter is brand new as well. The water output still strong after about 5 hours of runtime. Watching it closely now to see what happens.
@Owca_SoccerKids it sounds like it was a flow restriction that might have been causing the pump to overheat 👍 I never experienced that problem BUT last week I got 2 new adapters and my pump is running stronger than ever. I just took a new pump off my coleman 26x12x52 and put my old krystal clear 2500 pump on and it's amazing huge difference. what kind of cover is this u have?
It’s a INTEX solar cover. It works pretty good but the quality isn’t what it used to be, pretty much get one summer out of it and then most of the bubbles are popped.
Mine has a little window on the knob on top of the filter. Green yellow and red. I turn pump on and it works great in the green for about 10 seconds then goes to red and the water pressure basically stops. I give up with this junk as it only runs good if there is no filter in it
Did you get an adapter for the outlet? If so and it’s too small it may be bottle necking the pump. I just recently upgraded my adapter and the filter/pump is running great, I just did a video about it. ua-cam.com/video/_rRVD8PlVc0/v-deo.html
@@116falconer I did not get an adapter. I will watch video just in case but I just don’t understand why It stays in green and runs great when there is no filter in it

You need 1 1/2” to 1 1/4” adapters for the outlets and a adapter for the inlet. Someone commented that they cut their liner so the inlet supplied with the 2500 work and they had no issues. Are you sure you didn’t hook it up backwards?
I did the first time…
It won’t work that way…
Would the pump work without a filter in it? I was trying out mine and it wasn't generating pressure.
