Emerald of Chivor is definitely an ink that's been on my Ink Wish List for a while. Heard so many people talk about it positively. Thanks for the suggestion....aka reminder. 🙃
Oh - and just an FYI, when you mix the Sterling Silver in with Teaberry Ice Cream, 4 parts TIC to 1 part SS, the Sterling Silver creates this lovely "outline" to the letters, when you write with it. It's a favorite component to most of my mixing.
Oh this sounds nice… I have rosewood twinkle and add that to different inks when I want a nice shimmer. Sterling silver is definitely fun to add to so many. I’m gonna try your recipe.
Does the colour of RT when added to a recipe affect the end result? I have thought about getting in one of Wearingeul's Glitter Potions to add to recipes but want to try mixing more without the addition of other properties 1st.
@@wildlyimaginable I think it changes the color a bit because it has the grayish pinky color ink along with the shimmer. But I have really liked the results I've gotten. I'm attracted to muted dusty colors.
@@Adventuresover40 Gotcha! I think I need to be a purist at 1st wanting to see exactly what colour I get with a combination of inks, altho I do like the RT as a standalone mixing ink, not just to get shimmer in it. All for naught right now tho cause when I checked, it's all sold out. 🥲
YAY! I've been building a Birmingham Pen Co. Order forever, you're amping me up! - Love from Kali at Oblation! Thanks for the shoutout the other day, by the way
Whoa!!!! Hey Kali 👋🏽 Thanks for watching! Ikr about the BPC inks for mixing, I am definitely having FUN. Gotta let you know, I feel compelled to tell anyone who would listen about you and everyone else at Oblation. Y'all seriously rock!! By the way, I saw the packages that was sent to Karyna when she won the giveaway. It was so gorgeous! I get a kick out of seeing items that are beautifully and intentionally packaging and whoever wrapped them....kicked it out of the park! 🤩
Oh, Grace, I laugh so much when I watch your videos! Yes, getting a glistening bubble is just the best! (It's the little things that bring such joy!) And your oops with Hades just cracked me up. That is such a Lisa thing to have done. I used to fix things (and, for minor stuff, still do) but now I just lean into the big flubs... after all, mistakes make it yours... an arrow pointing at it with "Oops, Hades got the best of me," or some such thing. BPC is a favorite of mine, too, btw.
Lisa, it is the little things indeed that bring in joy! Heehee. 😊 I thought about leaving the Hades oops alone, cause I really don't mind making mistakes as I swatch. Figure they're a part of like anyway sooo..... BUT, it was totally distracting everytime I looked at the page. There was a whole hour between when I finished swatching and when I started recording again. Everytime I came back into my studio space to check dryness, my eye went right to that spot. 😔 Sigh.
I have several of these inks and love mixing them. Thank you for comparing these. It’s nice to know there are alternatives to some of the colors that are in a lot of recipes.
@@wildlyimaginablethats what I did at first. Then I tried the normal inks and added ones like tea berry ice cream or the real light colored ones to them just to see what it would make. It's addictive and therapeutic 😊
Grace, woman, I am obsessed with BPC and have done a ton of testing, collecting and recording of recipe results and such. If you want, I'd be happy to share my results and/or send you more samples to experiment with 😀
Omg Kristi, did you just go there? My heart/brain just quivered again 😂. I would love to have a peek at your recipes and, maybe, have chat sometime about BPC inks & recipes. Can you send me you email addy in a private message on my Ko-fi page (find link in description). That way, if you don't mind, I can pick your brain too. This girl's got questions 🧐
I told u about Interstellar Bronze, didn't I? :D Put it on Tomoe River paper, its mad. And you are correct, I have both Interstellar Bronze and Tesla coil always inked in something. Interstellar Bronze actually has a dedicated Kakuno for it. I have to say I'm not a real fan of Wearingeul simpley because their inks are too fussy. Alot are also really pale which makes me nuts. And as you noticed, their shimmer is cranky. As you like purple, try BPC Provence Lavender and/or Violet Sea Snail. I get green and blue glitter from Hades.
I knew you mentioned one of them in a long ago comment but couldn't for the life of me remember which one it was 😂 I'm still new to Wearingeul inks but have to say, I did get a bit frustrated that the shimmer in Dracula hardly showed up. I mean, what's the point of having it in if....🤷🏽♀️ And I won't ever be getting any of their pale inks or anyone else's. I have this weird thing aobut me, I need to see what I write. 🫤 Thanks for the BPC suggestions. Have added them to my ink wishlist. Actually have 2...one for BPC inks and another list for all other inks 😆
I really liked the colour of Interstellar bronze, but it seemed to discolour one of my demonstrator pens. It will only be going in converters from now on. I like BPC inks, but Wearingeul are one of my favourite ink brands for sure. My favourites are Frankenstein, The valley of fear and Cthulhu :)
Oh no! Thanks for that tip. I'm totally new to Wearingeul inks but so far of the few I have I'm liking them. And I love a solid blue ink so The Valley of Fear is definitively intriguing me.
YES! Yes! Yes! Clare you are a star 🤩 The dang word would not come to my brain. 😆 THANK YOU! 🙏🏽 The water was not yet murky and at 1st dip of the pen, there was a fascinating swirl of that bioluminescence before it coloured the whole container of water like I showed. Ooooh!
Another master class in ink swatching. And now I know what BPC stands for, my new ink rabbit hole. Many thanks!
Thanks Ron! You are very welcome for another rabbit hole to fall down 😝 🤣
I’m right there with ya when it comes to Wearingeul!! The stories behind the inks makes the experience of using them so much richer. 😀😀❤️❤️
Ikr Caitlyn! I'm just so enamoured with the history the inks reference and the stories they embody. Mmmmh! 😊
If you like Call of the Cthulhu, you’ll probably like J. Herbin Émeraude de Chivor. Similar teal color with red sheen, but also has shimmer.

That ink, Interstellar Bronze, is so flipping gorgeous in person too Marie. Whoa. 😮
Always enjoy watching your videos.

I really like Interstellar Bronze. Interesting colors.
Tom, Interstella Bronze is my absolute favourite of this bunch I swatched. For sure will be I will be inking it up in a pen in the next few months.

I have Persophone in this weeks inks to review so look forward to that :)
Let me know what you think of Persephone. It writes a bit darker than I thought it would but will still ink up in a pen nonetheless.
