Thanks for doing this, I'm glad to hear shofu's opinions. As much as I appreciate the efforts of the developers, I feel like the monsters of temtem are too similar to each other. Diversity of creatures is something I consider to be the single most important aspect of Pokemon and all monster-catching games as a whole, or even just any kind of bestiary. Pokemon always has something for everyone, from ordinary puppies to predatory snowflakes. It's THAT that I think really makes Pokemon what it is, and how it managed to hook the entire world since the 90s. And unfortunately, I don't think most of the temtems stand out from both each other or any other "generic" kind of monster. This would be completely fine if those weren't the majority.
Just saw this and I want to say that I'm happy to see Shofu giving criticism to the game. While I do like Temtem a lot, I can agree with some of the designs being a bit off. Luckily the recent update released new Temtem and I would say that they look better than the old ones.
It stays wild to me that they started in 3D and they're monsters still lack the personality that Stadium and Colosseum had, they just head bobbin. Also the battlefield feels claustrophobic

They don't look like animals that live in a world together. They look like random creatures on a app game
They all have the art style of baby Digimon before they get cool.

Enjoying temtem a lot but many have been honest that the creature designs can definetly become better
