I do not have a huge area to plant Mango Trees, I have 23 different varieties, and the spacing that I have is anywhere from 8 to 10 feet apart, the ones that produce the best are the ones that get priority. the ones that do not I trim away from the ones that do very well, but for me it provides more than enough wonderfully tasty fruit
PS. I also imported from Indonesia 4 different varieties that I believe we do not have here in the United States ,
thank you for the video. It was very informative.

That is awesome. What kind of mangoes did you import? did it take long to ship to you?

Back in the day, all trimming was done by hand only. Now with gas/electric equipment along with ease of obtaining fertilizers/elements/etc, it’s easier to keep trees smaller.

Are you sure that grafting a dwarf scion to a standard tree will result in a dwarf tree? Dwarf trees usually require dwarf rootstock.

i've always gone by the formula of , you want 2x the planned maintained adult height , in spacing, so if you have a 12ft tree , you want to space it 24 ft from trunk to trunk to another 12ft tree. another tip . is to keep taller trees on the north side of the planting area so that it doesn't shade shorter trees , which should be planted more to the south . and cold sensitive trees should be on the east side so they get the first early morning sun for those cold/frost days .

Could 2024 be a more exceptional season than 2023? First, time I used azomite. First time I've put down potassium/ magnesium/ sulfur in about 10 years.

I have a VP the first few years of it fruiting it seem growing slow I think it’s a 7 years old . But after that it starting to grow taller but not dense and lack of branches vs Venus which also vigorous grow

@@greatergood3706 yeah they get tall and flower like crazy and grow really large and fast if you don't keep on top of pruning it back. i only have 3 or 4 variety mangos but i notice the bigger the mango the larger the tree and the faster it grow. my Carrie is quite short and much denser and wider than the same age as VP but vp is now taller but not as dense. venus grow fast so fast that it broke it own branch from light wind.

Valencia Pride is a tall vertical grower. If you plan for the right time of year, topping the tree and cutting back the branches can encourage a more bush like growth habit and keep the fruit in easier reach. As well, topping the tree should help direct more nutrition to the side branches increasing both foliage and fruit growth/production.

Como consejo es mejor podarlos para que no crezcan mucho en altura ya que será mucho más difícil su manejo y cosecha. Bendiciones
