Wow! For this is the best epeisode Ive ever watched from your channel.. Getting connected to the locals and make them smile is such a fulfilling thing for me.. We travel not kust only to enjoy but to make a difference to lives of the peoplw especially the young generation of the race. Much love❤️❤️❤️
You guys are pretty awesome people! So COOL to see real people who really care for one another. It appears that They might not have much material wise but sure make it up their hearts and kindness! WOW! Just amazing! Just sooo tired of the crap that goes on here in the states, The selfishness, the greed and for sure the disrespect to others! It just seems to be on the rise and sooo refreshing to see these people as well as you 2 who really care! 😉👍😃
Love, Love, Love.... ...tears of joy... ...Western culture meets indigenous islanders... Love, love, love... Thank you for being such great ambassador for us!!!!
Thank you so very much for showing the beautiful kindness that the world can choose to do... What a wonderful blessed adventure. I just love you both! Huge hugs
WoW i love seeing the interaction you both have with these beautiful people with everyone having open hearts and minds its just wonderful to watch keep it coming please.
your kindness....honestly it gets me a bit misty eyed. i'm glad i found this channel because it's the best one out there imho. looking fwd to the next one, as always.
Have you thought about a food dehydrator for preserving bananas, fish, etc.? Electric ones are dirt cheap in the US, but you could probably rig passive solar easily on your roof Love, love, love your channel!
I only discovered you guys a few days ago in recommended videos. I've watched so many of the sailing vlogs and many are really awesome. I've yet to come across one that shows this level of connection with the locals and travel to such remote places. It brings tears to my eyes. Thank you so much for doing this.
With tears in my eyes, and the Beatle nut smiles of these people- like you say. This was one of my most favorite episode. I will join in your adventure soon.
Love your episodes. There is nothing like you anywhere on youtube. You always bring us the other side of what a sailing adventure can be and what a difference can be made.
I absolutely love how open minded you pair are to the cultures you come across on your journeys its a heart-warming thing and restores some faith in humanity. Good work, please keep making videos!! Love from Oz.
Their smiles are incredible. And people keep mentioning how we Filipinos heve great smiles. They obviously never seen these people. We don't hold a candle to their's, especially that girl @ 1:47. She looked truely happy. The guy with the boil on his back did not look good. looks like he's running a fever. Don't they have guavas trees there? We use crushed Guava leaves mixed with a bit of water to make a paste and apply it directly on the boil and a gauze patch to hold it in place, done twice a day. Reduces inflamation, fights infection and helps the wound heal faster.
Man you guys killed it on this one. I watch allot of sailing channels on UA-cam and know one gets deep into the different cultures like you guys do, It’s so awesome to see. You two are the kindest couple ever so cool.
I am so happy I found your channel. Not just because of the sailing but because of all the different cultures that you are sharing with the rest of the world. So many other channels are all sailing to the usual places and avoiding the so called "scary" places. Mark Twain said "Travel is fatal to prejudice, bigotry, and narrow-mindedness, and many of our people need it sorely on these accounts. Broad, wholesome, charitable views of men and things cannot be acquired by vegetating in one little corner of the earth all one's lifetime" Your videos do just that. Too many people are scared to visit different areas of Papua New Guinea. After watching this series how can you not want to go there and just fall in love with these people? Well done you two!! Now get back to editing more videos :)
If I can, I love you guys. I can only imagine how much they loved you, for all your caring and generosity. I think you guys are amazing, and make excellent ambassadors from Canada. I'm proud of you both, and very grateful for all you share with so many. Missionaries of hopes and dreams.! I sincerely believe you will continue to remain couscous, and none complacent. Be well my friends, and thank you for all you do. Love ya..
that was so sweet u fed the littleones pralines and cream oatmeal. i bet they loved it.they were lovin u guys, im sure u will be remembered for a lifetime.
I am absolutely loving your videos of your inter-action with different cultures! I have an Aunt and Uncle who spent 7 years doing missions work with Marine Reach in Fiji. There stories they share and your vidoes are really giving me a longing to go and get involved too. Please keep sharing your experiences with these people. These are very special stories you are sharing! I hope the guy with the tropical sore healed!
You 2 are a larger blessing to more than you guess. Your willingness to give these people the better end of the trade is both humbling and inspiring. I speak as an American where we literally have money/food/comfort coming out our assess. Where we only eat the center of the filet mignon and toss the rest. I've seen your attitude a number of times when the locals come to your boat to bring/trade items of pittance. Thank you for showing us, visually, how things should be. God bless you both and your boat and travels. I very much enjoy your videos, 'and great editing too. You've got some pretty good moves on the kite board !!! Can I request some more screen time of the 'wife' telling us about how "Awesome" something is? Anything, 'it doesn't matter ha ha ha
Loved watching them watch you from the beach. We stop often along the local highway when kite surfers are out in the bay, the combination of serious acrobatics with a good landing makes us all cheer.
You both are heroes. Your hearts are big and full. It is amazing what you did to help out the villagers. Please don't forget to get some snorkeling videos in between. I need my Pacific underwater fix. Safe travels and fair winds
Great video! Thanks for sharing a different culture with us. It was great to see that there wasn’t any judgment for the way these people live. After watching this video I’m inspired to help more people.
Hi Ben and Ashley. You guys did a fantastic job of telling this story of interacting with a new culture that is so different from what most of us are used to. Thru trading, you provided them with things that they really need while providing you with things that you could use but may not be so necessary. And charging their phones and sending emails on their behalf - fantastic and good on you for doing that. I hope other cruisers see this video and feel compelled to do the same thing. From your videos and others, I know that cruising is not cheap (repairs, food and fuel cost money) but for a relatively small amount of money spent on necessary items for these folk, they and you, the cruisers, walk away with a memory that will last a life time. Also, the windsufing looked "awesome," and I think those are called apple bananas; they are delicious when really ripe.
Hey there ! I love to watch you videos but this one made me cry . Just how much good you did with your little donation to that family and that teenager that made my day I feel like I have to do that one day . Thanx for the videos and thanx for your work
It is moving to see what you do so freely and genuinely..Your altruism and empathy should be a lesson to many others out there sharing their sailing experience.
I watch videos all the time, but I’ve never commented.....I just have to tell you two what an inspiration you are, so kind and understanding, you’re amazing! Your are, without a doubt, the best videos to watch, I’ve seen them all and anxiously await the next adventure! You’re so sweet and funny, who is better than you? NOBODY, just nobody!!!!!
This has quickly become my favorite series of videos that the two of you have produced. Thank you for having such big and open hearts and for sharing your journey with all of us. Peace and love to you.
epic job guys! I feel like I am watching the modern day version of Mr. :and Mrs Cousteau Keep up the great filming and adventures! Blue skies and calm seas!!!!
As I was getting ready to write my comments I noticed that most everyone else had come to the same conclusion as I did so at the risk of being redundant I think you both are amazing! You have a genuine love and acceptance for all of the people that you meet. You are great ambassadors and will leave a positive, lasting impression wherever you go. You can see it in their eyes and the looks on their faces how they admire you and how much joy you have brought to their lives. Thank you for showing me a culture that was unknown to me and for shining a light on a wonderful group of people. The world could use more people like you and the loving people of Papa New Guinea. Keep up the great work and God’s Speed.
If you believe in the afterlife, I believe you two will be Gods... Your hearts are as big and beautiful as the oceans you sail upon... Thank you so much for showing us these far away and beautiful locations... Much love to you both.......
This episode is probably one of the best sailing related videos on UA-cam. Hoping to set sail when I retire and this location just got added to the bucket list. Thanks for sharing your experience.
Maybe im a little bit late for this episode but these one is amazing. Seeing those smile in their face is actually 100% pure and it really made me cry. You guys are awsome hanging with those people without judging them and respecting their culture. Godbless. 💓
I’ve been watching your videos from San Francisco for months now and looking forward to the new ones every week. Thank you for sharing your adventures and letting us all be part of your journey. Keep up the great work!
Wow, so neat to see the trading. The thought never occurred to me that it would go down like this because there are no stores! To think our ancestors did this for literally thousands of years: hopped on a ship and showed up someplace far away and traded. Such a neat connection to the past both maritime and commerce. So cool!
Again, your videos are so.... AMAZING!! Many people do not known place like this been existing.... You go there and show that all us. thank you! It is so difficult to understand at some places can be so authentic even these days. love you both
THAT is why we sail!! You took my heart back there, where I cruised 10yrs ago. I always enjoy your ' company ', but this episode was special. Big love from nz....and BTW, how gooood are the 🍌 there! YUUUUM!
This is the most amazing video I have seen. I love you two you are amazing people continue sailing around the world and show to us more videos please. Thanks a lot 🙏🤗
How can’t you have a place in your heart....You guys are so fortunate that you get to experience all them different cultures..Maybe one day I will make it there in my journeys.....Just want to say you two are awesome people for sharing with them different cultures....Amazing How Happy they all were....Priceless.........T.Gunz..........
Excellent (read:Awesome!) video. It makes me wonder how different the world would be if every explorer traveled as you do. Learn from the different cultures. Try to understand their views on the world. Don't try to change them (unless they need help like the guy with the boil and books for the kids, etc) Well done. You guys make me proud to be a Canadian.
Great vid as usual but this one was heart warming. I grew-up a missionary kid in Africa (1960s) so i relate and applaud your compassion. ....and, I miss "bush bananas". Kudos, team Nahoa!!!
Oh, I'm just in love with yall! Thank you for the top notch episodes back to back to back. The way you seem to take in your travels & then also in the way you create to share with us viewers is truly refreshing. Always looking forward to what you have next. Knowing I'll get a lot of laughs, honesty, knowledge & great experiences you've curated. Thank you ♡

We are so glad to have the opportunity to work with such generous people! Ashley and Ben, you represent Canada so well.
Guys, you are pretty much the epitome of Canada with your customer service and kindness. Couldn't have chosen a better sail manufacturer.
You guy rock, no judgment . I am fascinated , keep the video's coming. Thank you for showing and sharing your life.
This actually made me cry out of happiness !
You're sharing memories with these people that they will probably remember for the rest of their lives. That makes me happy :)

How mind blowing is it that these people can see the wonder and joy in things that we "enlightened" take for granted and are quickly bored by.

Living the dream. Keep the kite boarding footage rolling in these amazing lagoons.
This has quickly become my favorite series of videos that the two of you have produced. Thank you for having such big and open hearts and for sharing your journey with all of us. Peace and love to you.
