I like the way the 'armed' officer hides behind the old guy in the doorway as you try to get her number. I'm sure she'll do really, really well in terms of self-preservation at firearms incidents, not too sure what the civilian casualties are going to look like though!

Public servants, over time, can fall victim to a delusion that their tax-funded installation has become their own little monarchy, where they believe they are free to rule, cheerfully making up policy to validate their reign...A video recorded obligation to return to reality is often a bumpy journey...Happens here in the US quite frequently.

Section 42 of the police reform act only applies to PCSOs. The Police and Criminal Evidence Act 1984 (Codes of Practice A - Stop and Search and B - Search and Seizure) defines when a police officer should provide their name and/or the police station to which they are attached to a member of the public. Other than this, there is no legislative requirement for a police officer to provide their name and/or station.
Police Officers are required to adhere to the Standards of Professional Behaviour as set out in SCHEDULE 2 The Police (Conduct) Regulations 2012 and they are also required to adhere to the police code of ethics.

    • @TheSadButMadLad
      @TheSadButMadLad 2 роки тому +3

You know that. I know that. We know that. But do they know that? I doubt it. So throwing sections from legislation at the police is fine. They gaslight the public, so the public can gaslight them.

    • @thefoxhat6163

The reason there is no legislative requirement is because it is a Common Law requirement.
Originally, a Constable had to provide their name and the stable they operated out of. Now they are required to provide their full legal name (recent case law. I'll try to find it for you) the station they operate out of and the reasonable grounds for engaging. Carloway's Policing Review in Scotland states the current law (Common) as
"A Constable MUST provide their name, the station they operate from and the reason for stopping a member of the public"
The review was prompted by complaints from human rights organisations about the illegal and abusive use of stop and search powers they were using to target children.

It’s fascinating to see just how far the standards of intelligence and integrity have fallen in the average British police officer over recent years. And how unprepared they are to deal with a member of the public who does not automatically bow down to their self inflated, sense of importance and authority. And when officers are caught out using their body worn cameras without adhering to their written policy which informs them they must tell the public at the earliest opportunity that it’s switched on, they make up lies, denying the truth in front of a camera. How dumb must you be to lie in front of a camera, knowing what you’ve said, may end up on UA-cam, for ever. And ever. And ever.🙄

Only Essex Police broke the Law, but how?
    1) Left vehicle parked and running, (keys in)?
    2) Vehicle parked and abandoned in a fire access yellow hash zone.
    3) Officer refused to identify
    4) Officers threatened public with trespassing when a civil matter
    5) GDPR Breach (not just policy !)
For the avoidance of doubt: The agreement with GDPR authorities is that the body camera must either have a large sign/ badge on display including a picture of a camera, stating “recording”. OR the public must be verbally advised. It’s not just policy, it is the Law.
I keep stating this, I do wish auditors wouldn’t miss the key legal point…. Also ALWAYS as for the name of their “Data Controller”, legally they should know. Next demand a copy, tell them the 30 day clock is starting now, give them an email address. It is their duty to give you that name OR take your email and pass on the message. It’s all very simple.
    Verbal or sign
    Data Controller
    30 day clock.
“Verbal data clock”… remember it …

These police are so belligerent they feel no shame in following them into reception and stand staring at them.. Unbelievable bad behaviour.

Oh dear, stupid doesn’t come close. You can hear the breeze whistling between the ears of the defective sergeant. She was so excited she could barely breath. The Keystone cops clearly haven’t read the memo.
It’s good to see the decent officers behaving like adults rather than petulant five year olds.

What a mess. Starts off badly with the civilian Karen, gets even worse with the Detective Sergeant Karen, and completely collapses with PC Karen, and civilian Darren. This site is a gold mine for auditors!

I have had similar issues when filming people in the middle east and Africa, they believe that the camera will steal your soul.

Poor old blondie at the beginning. Her performance under pressure is going to be laughed at by her staff for the rest of her career. Obviously a desk waller who wouldn’t know a real crook if they bit her - stay in the HR services team or look after the rosters. The two who pulled up seem like decent blokes and street coppers who understand what is a real issue and what is a bit of fun.

Bunting was put into place for you on this one. What a great complex of buildings all in red brick and a real treat to view . By the way It was they who called for Armed Police Response! Who upon the scene acted polite without even a hint of aggressive violence. i believe that the Police Calls can be requested under The Freedom of Information Act. So can be included in your films. Towards the end her reaction to cameras of mass identifying hysteria as she fled down the concrete ramp. BB in Norwich United Kingdom
