This is a super great, quick paced, informative tutorial. Thankful you did not include the basics of how to use a standard spreadsheet. I do not intend to purchase software when a spreadsheet and and extra few minutes will save $$$ per year and now feel much more comfortable reporting to the daunting IRS. THANKS SO MUCH!
I use this process as well for the small law firm that I work for. You are correct that this method is a cost saver. It's more efficient to perform this process in QBO
I want to learn bookkeeping but from scratch. I am really scared and nervous. Can you please help me to get the right information. I don’t know where to start
Hello. My name is Rickey Hughes. I have just watched your video about Small Business Tax Preparation. I do have a small business in Bookkeeping and Accounting. I may need to watch the video again, because I know more about Bookkeeping and Accounting than I do about Income Tax Preparation. However, I think you explained it very well. Also, I have a laptop computer; but, I don't have Excel. I may need your suggestions about this. Right now, I am only doing Bookkeeping and Accounting by hand, and I may need your advice on how to do this if I am going to use a computer. Anyway, I thank you for sharing this video, and look forward to hearing your response about this. Thank you again, and keep up the good work.
Thanks for watching! Excel will often come in a package on your computer, but you should be able to buy a download if you don't have it. But, if you're using QuickBooks, I'd stick with that!
Would you recommend getting Microsoft 365 family or Microsoft 365 business if your getting ready to start your own bookkeeping business? As you may use word and excel from time to time.
my wife runs a small business but also gets paid as an independent contractor (1099), what software do you recommend? and do we keep those two separate? or combine them?
That gets a bit complex. I would keep them separate if possible. Or, at the very least make two account categories for you P&L. As a bookkeeper, this is the type of thing I would consult with a CPA about.
Hi Jennifer! Here is a video Morgan made that may answer your question, " Quarterly Taxes Explained": ua-cam.com/video/SRnWBWOvtHY/v-deo.html Krista (FinePoints Admin)
Had to wait to almost halfway through the video to get to the spreadsheet. I really hate all the beating around the bush, to get to the actual information.
Any downloadables will be listed in the description section, so you can always head there right away to find Morgan's resources :) -Gabe (FinePoints Admin)
Thanks for watching! Share this with a small business owner you know. :)

THANK YOU! I needed something very BASIC to give to my tax guy as I started my business not too long ago. I’ll be giving this a try! Wish me luck! 😭
Glad it was helpful!
Thank you so much! This is the first explanation of EXCEL that has made any to me.
Yess! This is so much easier then quickbooks or anything else I could possibly think of!
Thank you!
You're so welcome!
I extremely like the video, man. Very helpful and informative. Thank you very much. It is presented so well too. Great, positive work.
Great vid
It would be a lot easier to use subtotal button
Pivot table or sumif are viable options but a little bit more complicated to excel newbies
Super Helpful THANK YOU!!
This video is awesome! Creating a pivot would be a matter of seconds to getting your totals or having things categorized per month or quarter.
PIVOT TABLES!!!
Learn this feature in Excel, much easier when doing what’s suggested in this video!!
Pivot table would help yes?

Nice! Glad it works well for you. Good to hear real-world experience!
Do you have an excel template for bookkeeping?
So helpful for those new startups.
The first 20 seconds, she was definitely talking to me.
Spot on

Sumifs or pivot tables would probably make this simpler.
