@@anonimorandom We don't count if a run doesn't cover an entire percent, and think others shouldn't either. Otherwise you get things like Doggie's disconnected 49% and "49-100" runs on Grief from last month.
the last 20% of the level is way easier than the rest, also 60hz makes literally 0 difference aside from having the game look smoother so i'm sorry to say this but unless you grind this consistently for like over 2 years then you're not beating this

@@small.clover refresh rates on their on do not make a difference, it is FPS that does, and in 2.2 even that doesn't give a huge advantage, reason refresh rates don't matter anymore is because the physics in now universal across all fps and you can change your fps in the settings if you want your inputs to be more precise, trust me, i've been playing on 60hz for years and when i switched to 165hz in 2.2 before CBF was a thing, i did not get any advantage. i think you think that physics is still tied to fps, which it isn't, and that fps is tied to refresh rate, again, you can just change the fps in the settings, CBF has absolutely nothing to do with refresh rates, you are completely missing the point of the mod. and again if you want proof of this, when i switched to 165hz in 2.2 i didn't notice any differences. Stop telling people to do research when you are the one who doesn't do any.
@@BenedekLevai You must have a very specific experience if you really didn't notice a difference. Maybe the sync issues between 165fps and 240tps are nerfing what should be a major leap. A small experiment on 120fps gave a massive boost to my straightfly so maybe try something that divides evenly into 240. Higher input precision, on average, means more milliseconds available for a jump or correction. That adds up massively over the course of a level. If it really didn't make that much of a difference then 60Hz players wouldn't be five years behind everyone else. Please define "refresh rate" because I think we're talking past each other with different terminology.
@@small.clover by "refresh rate" i am talking about the refresh rate of the monitor, anyway, without mods, having a higher refresh rate monitor, and thus a higher fps would result in a big advantage, IN 2.1. What i'm saying is that this DOES NOT apply to 2.2 because the physics is no longer tied to the framerate, and it doesn't even matter for input precision because you can change the fps in the settings menu without mods, so while fps does matter for input precision, the monitor's refresh rate doesn't matter as you can play on any fps without mods. my problem is that you're saying that the refresh rate is what decreases input lag, when in reality you can just change your fps in the settings, i hope you understand what i'm trying to say.
find yourself a SP (start position) version of Tartarus for practicing
I BELIEVE YOU GONNA BEAT THIS ONE DAY!
Keep going man!! also that was a 96 - 100 run not 97,pretty nice

Nine Circles but we were making good progress on Cataclysm before this
