Oh my goodness. Practicing these really helped me out. I'm a growing up Clarinet player. Now decided to get an Alto Saxophone. Your tips, and PDFs in your locker are extremely helpful, thanks 👍🏾
Nigel, I have been looking for a long time for a course or something to learn how to play house music with the saxophone. I notice on your website there isn't one. Could you make one in the future or guide me to someone who has?
I love this content! I love DJ Sax genre and after I saw a video of Jimmy Sax Live at Niki Beach, performing Opus from Eric Prydz. Would love you to break down his performance
Hey Carlos. The cool thing about pentatonic scales in this style of music is that generally every note will work. So start by experimenting with different notes from the scale to make your own melodies.
Very interesting and thanks for publishing this, Nigel. One thing I did note was that they were all playing alto saxes. Are there any good tenor sax players in this genre?
Great question Richard and something we covered in our full Sax School Masterclass with Jason Whitmore - loads of great tenor playing in this genre too.
Thank you for your Video on that Topic mate! Is it possible for you to check out „The Midnight“? They are a band in the synthwave genre and they also got some great sax solos in their songs!
Excellent Video Nigel!
Cheers Adam! Is DJ guitar a thing? You’d rock that!

Appreciate these riffs, Nigel - like them all - where is the PDF, please?
Cheers David. The PDF is in our Locker (you have it on your account).
You asked for a dj sax solo: can the solo in m83 midnight city be considered as such? Anyhow one of my favourites. One of my targets to play😄

I loved it! could you tell us how to understand the pentantonic scale to play while listening to a song? thank youu!!!
Hey Carlos. The cool thing about pentatonic scales in this style of music is that generally every note will work. So start by experimenting with different notes from the scale to make your own melodies.
The pentatonic scale doesn't have the leading tone or the 4th (in the major) so it allows for "floating" melodies.

Great video! I have a dream of me playing sax on Ibiza :D. But the song which Laura played on the video is "Verona" I think, not Jubel.
I think you are right

Do you know that Jubel is actually played by snake davis on the original track
Yeah, that’s cool isn’t it. Snake has done a great masterclass for us at Sax School, definitely worth a look.
@@McGillMusicSaxSchool yes I took part in one of his masterclasses 20 or so years ago on ITV
