I do not, but according to this source, all vegetables need 41%-80% moist soil. www.acurite.com/blog/soil-moisture-guide-for-plants-and-vegetables.html
Hi, I'm new to your channel & I recently bought a monestera deliciosa. However, it has knats. I've quarantined it in my garage so my other house plants don'tget them too. What can I use to get rid them from my monestera?
Hi Julie, thank you for your question. Fungus gnats are attracted to moist soil. Make sure your soil and pot drain really well. I have a video on fungus gnats and fiddle leaf figs which can be applied to any other plant. A product I use to completely get rid of the infestation is Garden and Insect Killer Spray. ua-cam.com/video/zCNqHsPFQeg/v-deo.html
I really hope you see my question, I have exactly the same as you have with light meter. After i stick it in it shows me wet and then continues to drop very slowly and doesnt stop. Is this normal?
It shouldn't drop immediately and continue going down after being placed into the soil. It may be defective or has an issue. I recommend reaching out to the business and having a replacement sent.
That is a little tricker since plants growing outside in the ground will have a root system that is deeper than a potted plant. I would check at different depths and see how the readings are.
Pilea peperomioides grows in water with pH value between 6.5 and 7.5, but this pH meter is used to measure soil, so it is not suitable to use this pH meter. Choose a pH meter to measure water quality.
The readings on the moisture meter will vary depending on the soil used and the type of pot and plant. To learn more about your plants specific watering needs, reference our Moisture Meter Chart here: houseplantresourcecenter.com/moisture-meter-chart/
@@houseplantresourcecenter Thanks for your quick response. I should have mentioned it is my marantas and calathea medallion that, after doing well for 18 months, they are curling and with some dead leaves, Have seen "keep evenly moist" and I have been using moisture meter for all of my plants, no temperature changes, humidity from humidifiers just as the last year and a half. No bugs noted. My Zebrina, rufibarba, stromanthe sanginea, lancifolias are doing fine. Freddie is also struggling, but always has. thank you again for your reply!
@@raetass4945 I would look at the root system in the plants and see if they are too root bound or the soil is not aerated properly and draining properly so the root system is not adequately being watered.
Thank you for sharing. I'd like to buy this product but do you sell it any other place besides Amazon? I am doing my best to reduce purchasing from them until they start paying their fair share of taxes and treat their workers in humane ways.
Thank you for your question. Right now, our moisture meters are only available on Amazon. We are looking to expand to more retail locations in the future.
this was helpful, thanks :)
Glad it was helpful!
When should I water my pachira aquatica? What is the moisture level? Thank you.
When the moisture meter indicates the soil is dry when placed half way down into the soil, that is a great time to water!
Do you have a moisture chart for garden vegetables in containers.
I do not, but according to this source, all vegetables need 41%-80% moist soil. www.acurite.com/blog/soil-moisture-guide-for-plants-and-vegetables.html

Can you rinse the metal tips with water to clean off dirt and dust?
Yes you can, but you should wipe to dry. They cannot be left wet or they will rust eventually. Hope that helps!
I didn’t see any list below for how much water each plant needs
Does the 2 to 3 inch rule apply to plants that's are already in the ground?

Hi, what is de ideal moist on the meter for a pilea peperomioide? Thank You! 🥰
Thank you for your question! I wouldn't let it get too dry, so a 3 or 4 would be a good reading.
