She’s my fav. Her songs feel like my mania and I have to be careful lol. I always wonder how she manages to be Chappell when the bipolar depression is present bc I know what that’s like and it’s so hard to put on the act or people have seen manic me and think that’s me all the time but there’s this completely opposite side of me and then they’re shocked or not accepting and upset because I have a hard time being consistently the same human-even medicated and in therapy. There’s no one else even close to what she does on so many levels.
She's bipolar 2, and being bipolar 2 myself you don't really experience the mania in the same way as someone with bipolar 1 does. My guess is that the Chappell character is so removed from Kayleigh the person that going on stage is like checking in to work Even when I'm depressed, when I start work I go in to a different persona and can pretend to be happy and confident
I find something about her beauty really captivating…her facial features genuinely look like a “Kayleigh from Missouri” - but that girl would typically dye her hair blonde, sing in a church choir, and have a really middle-class life. She would impress her group of “mom friends” by doing karaoke at Michael & Susan’s wine night, and then her kids would whinge about how embarrassed they were on the way home, as she stares out the window and daydreams about another life where she got to be a star. I dunno…I just find her really alluring. The bright red hair, the drag makeup, the glamorisation of 80s pageants. It’s like looking at someone’s name (Kayleigh), facial structure, and the state they come from (Missouri), and going “oh…I know exactly who that girl is” - but her artistry completely subverts all of your expectations. It’s quite hard for artists to be innovative and unique in 2024, and she’s completely doing that, and the fact that she’s incorporating her Midwest roots into her story just adds to how interesting her artistry is.
She totally has that neoclassical Pre-Raphaelite red hair. She’s beautiful and I hope everyone around her helps her take care of herself so she can have her career as long as she wants. ❤

Sinead O'Connor had that perspective about the music industry and taking care of yourself since the beginning of her career. She'd love listening to this amazing honest young artist!
I loved this interview with the amazingly talented and fun Chappell Roan and, as an older woman who's been around the block a few times, I was very impressed with the quality of Tom Power's interview: his sensitive questions, his demeanor, his taking the young woman before him seriously as an artist and a person, apparently never feeling the need to comment on her lovely looks, etc. This was my first encounter with him and he's a complete pro, God bless 'im.

A new golden age of expression and evolution of artistry. It’s here for us all, if we just open to that access. Bless her✨I hope she always keeps it real and maintains her integrity
Definitely the les icon we were needing for years.
She totally saved him with a very sweet answer when he said "After Midnight" and "Kaleidoscope" were said to be about her journey finding herself....I wonder if he listened to the record beforehand 🤔
yep, had the same thought. super bizarre and really turned me off from listening.
I love her a lot, but she was also a bad interview here ngl. He was struggling too because of her vibe. It definitely would have helped if he prepped more.
i think she peeped it too lol
@@EyeDigressit pretty hard to interview someone who doesn’t give you much to go off of. She’s definitely authentic and cool, but that often also means honest and kinda weird interviews
@@frankytanky5076 I don't find her interviews weird at all when they're more real. Not every interview needs to be entertaining bits--much prefer getting the honest answers.
Good introspection interview
Wise young woman learned from that 1st deal rejection. She knows it could be fleeting. Hope she holds on tothatn flourishes. She will be a great actress
Love her ♥️ good example for our younger generation! Protect our kids and teach them to recognize the monsters that will try to take advantage of them
You are doing soo well. You have got this ❕Keep on shining your truth 🌟,
Amazing interview. Big props.
I don’t think pop has ever been this good till now. There I said it! ❤
Excellent interviewing, attentive and perceptive.
This is NOT how I thought Tom Power looked. Great interview., I usually listen on the radio
Great interview, both interviewer and interviewee.
She is courageous and so talented!! So glad I found her!❤
her music is like love at first sight (listen) 💛
Kudos to the interviewer - he really made her open up))
Being a cashier and fast food worker or barista actually IS hard, harder than being a pop star at times tooc❤
