- This time, I ride one of train service of DB (Deutsche Bahn), "FEX" that runs from Berlin Brandenburg Airport (newly opened on 31 of Oct, 2020) to Berlin Central Station (Hauptbahnhof).
The coach is Bombardier doubble-deck car and it is really cozy train.
It takes 30 minutes to the Berlin central and very convenient train service from the airport.

Please note!! In the video, I take a seat at the upper deck with an ordinary ticket (for 2nd-class car). On the other hand, this FEX service also includes one car whose upper deck is first class and you need to purchase a ticket for 1st-class, which is more expensive.

My son and I are flying from Edinburgh to Berlin in July 2023 to see Rammstein and will also be taking this exact train journey... thanks for sharing this very helpful and to have auld lang syne by scotsman Robbie Burns at the end was nice.

If I have a FEX ticket (120 minute) Stop at
Gesundbrunen station and I will need use same ticket take U-bahn can use or not can’t use
Hi. If I understand correctly, FEX is one of services by DB and the ticket for DB doesn't cover availability for U-bahn.
If you take S-bahn from the Berlin Airport, its ticket covers U-bahn and Tram in the Berlin transport network as well (you can choose the zones of ticket). Unfortunately, I'm not sure if a ticket covering both DB and U-bahn is purchasable.

@nordiclocaltransports6301 in the video you bought a 120-minute ticket for €3.80 in the ABC area, which covers almost all means of transport of the VBB network (except ICE high-speed trains). The FEX, on the other hand, is a regular regional train and not a Deutsche Bahn service. So with this ticket, you can also change to the Underground as long as your one-way trip is not yet over and the time has not yet expired.
