A bittersweet video that actually brought a tear to my eye . How very sad that many passed so very young , I’m 59 and grew up with Grange Hill, it makes one realise how lucky we are to still be here . RIP to them all
Sitting here having a cup off tea , with tears watching this as a 54 year old man this bring so many memories as a kid growing up in Manchester England in the early seventies coming home from school to watch grange hill am sure like so many off you , very sad for all who has sadly passed away 🙏🌹memories I will always cherish
Looking back I will never forget coming home from school and watching Grange Hill and then Tuckers Luck 😃 shows like this aren’t made anymore 😢 - I grew up in the 1980’s and it was a magical time being a teenager, early 80’s a mod and then mid 80’s a casual driving a 2.0s Capri - how things have changed 😢 wish I could go back 😢😢
Bring back 4 tv. Channels on terrestrial television and ban Sky. Life in 80s uk growing up was brilliant where people actually talked to each other and no technology distractions at all. Sundays was a day off all shops in the town centre were closed and teenagers had respect for adults and teachers. Not sure if anyone from the 80s era actually thinks the chicken today are better than we were
About the same age as me, no phones, no internet, we played until dark then went home, never got into serious trouble or the local beat bobby would give us a clip round the ear!😂
As someone born in 1971, Grange Hill was my favourite show growing up, so gritty and working class, with relatable characters. Inevitably we all must pass, but it's a real thought provoker to see this & realise how many younger cast have passed. RIP 😢❤
Ditto, hits home how life really is short. Just feels like yesterday I was in my teens watching GH.. To all the my fellow Gen X enjoy it while we are here!
@garrz32 I was born in 1968 both my twin and younger brother were both gone by 1994. I have always tried to live each day as if it could be my last. Still it was sad to see so many younger ones are now gone. The actor that played Benny was particularly sad I thought. I think he was the very first person on Grange Hill, kicking a football outside the school gates on his first day at the school
@@garrz32 yeah, I'm Gen X too, with so many older members of my family passing away in recent years it changes your outlook on life (not always for the better I have to admit!) Same thing happens to every generation before us, obviously.
Benny Green was my favourite character on TV at the time. Sad to hear the actor passed at an early age (which I was aware of before seeing this video).
Grew up with Terry Sue pat and his brother Michael in Bentham Court in the 70s , and met him before he died in the Cock Tavern Walthamstow , loved to party too
Type tortured in Hell lived to tell. I'm afraid you live on after you die without Jesus you go straight to hell. I've watched this and all I'm thinking of is who made heaven and escaped hell. Read the comment section and there's your answer. Repent and believe the gospel
Nostalgia can be a cruel yet sweet mistress. I grew up watching Grange Hill and coincidentally, went to junior school with Todd Carty. He was about 3 years above me. Life is so short, be good to each other. RIP. 🙏🏾
Grange Hill has great memories for me ,,I’m 60 years old now, and most of the kids were my age ,,,this video made me very sad thinking of all the people who have passed away at such young ages,,, I had a lot of happy time’s watching Grange Hill when I was a child ❤❤❤❤
I was born in 1976 and Grange Hill was my favourite, watching this made me cry. It’s almost like I attended Grange Hill, growing up seeing these faces to know they’re not here saddens me ✊🏾💯
Grange Hill the show that modelled your childhood. Was gutted when they pulled it off air in 2008 that todays child won't get the same experience as we did in the 80s and 90s. RIP to all.
Who didn't just ❤love Grange Hill ,Great TV viewing during my school days ,,don't realise how many different characters played their part making the programme a success through out the years .Very sad so many are no longer with us,but memories will live on forever ..R.I.P
So sad but inevitable I guess. Watching GH and talking to mates about it was a part of my childhood I haven't forgotten about, growing up in the 70's/80's was so cool. A world that was so much simpler and happy.
I remember the very 1st episode. Was it '78? I was 11 or 12. Loved it. Totaly captured what it was like in a British High School in the late 70s early 80s. We as school kids could all relate to it. Happy days.
I’m 73 and all of these relatively young people dying has got me thinking about my own life. I loved Grange Hill and everyone in it. RIP to those who are no more. You formed a memorable part of my life.
A superb raw-edged, hard-hitting, originally imagined, storylined, adrenalined, marvel which made many of us 50yr+ teenage yrs.. My, they sure don't make them how they used to...A quite fabulous long running drama series who all kids in different circumstances cud resonate with.SIMPLY 1 OF THE BEST, the like of which we'll never c again in OUR lifetime.
I grew up with Mark Farmer he dated my sister when when they were both teenagers didn't know he had passed. Absolutely loved Grange Hill. R.I.P to all the cast members that have passed away.❣️🙏
Just what my schoolgirl teenage evenings were made 4; a must watch that I used to rush home for... *Quite possibly,1 of the finest school dramas ever t grace R screens; with it's raw-edged, hard-hitting storylines,it told the real stories of schools education/home life as it was back in the 70-80s.*
My closet friend Anna Aidoo did a season of Grange Hill in 1994 and she played a girl dealing with HIV. I remember how excited we were all were when she got the part. She passed in 2020 after having Covid. Grange Hill will forever be an iconic programme for many and to all who played a role in the show alive and gone we say thank you .And to all those who have passed including Anna rest in peace ❤
GH was my favourite show growing up in the 80’s, I was hooked. The theme tune with the comic animation of the characters was fantastic..The story lines were great and it really tackled a lot of issues being faced by young people. Sad that alit of the characters were so young when they passed. RIP
As a school teen in the 80s grange hill was high on my list of favourites 😊 still clearly remember mrs mccluskey and mr bronson 😅 very memorable characters 😊
1 of the all-time gr8 TV dramas of the 80s. Marvelous if but sad nostalgic trip back t the 80s. My schoolgirl adrenaline rush back in the day.. Tucker,Trisha, Benny& Co, u all were part of my teenage life an I resonated with each and every one of you in 1way or thutha.
Loved Grange hill would rush home from school to watch, R.I.P all those actors that brought that show to life. That show brought back so much fond memories of my time at secondary school.
Fond memories of Grange Hill and found it pretty relatable in certain situations across high school life . One of the most memorable episodes , when they bunked off school and went marauding round their local shopping centre . Baxter and another teacher went searching for them , he got caught looking under toilet cubicle doors by the security guard and dug a bigger hole by saying “ I’m looking for boys , school boys “ ! It ended in tragedy when one of the boys climbed up on top of the roof and promptly fell , there was an eerie silence as they placed a blanket over his body. Sad reading of the various passings especially Terry Sue Patt who died alone and wasn’t discovered for some time 😢 A shame Tuckers Luck didn’t continue as I thought the post school adventures were funny yet relatable in terms of trying to find your way in a much wider world outside the school gates .
Gosh😮 growing up watching "Grange Hill"... It's Really Sad to see former actors of the iconic show, who died..😢 I remembered some of the People, mainly the first one's in the video's... it's like saying "Goodbye" to a Friend...😢😔 I got the look of how things were going to be at High school...I've Always Hated school from an early age, and didn't go much...😮 but the years go so quickly, I've been left school now 40 years... But watching this video brought back some Happy memories🙏 😂🕊️✌️💖💂🇬🇧🌹🍒
