  • Devilman is a Japanese manga series written and illustrated by Go Nagai, which originally started as an anime adaptation of the concept of Nagai's previous manga series, Demon Lord Dante. A video game based on Devilman was released for the Famicom by Namco on April 25, 1989.

    I looked up the other endings, if you lose to Ryo you basically get the manga's ending with the Earth being reset at the end. If you don't save everyone, the narration says humanity still dies. The angels at the end imply that things aren't over and there is more fighting ahead.

    Okay I have to say, as a game, this looks exceptionally bad.
    But it actually is a pretty interesting piece of What If lore in regards to the manga's story. Thank you for playing it and getting the best ending!

      Having played it, it's actually fairly average as an NES beat-em-up. Responsive enough and it's easy to get a feel for attack ranges. I know I've had a lot more fun with it than something frustrating like Jekyll & Hyde. It's no TMNT brawler or Castlevania, but it's not bad enough that I'd never replay it.
      Now if it had a few more music tracks, and not just three of them (at least it feels like three)... (at least they're all sort of catchy in a weird way instead of awful).

    My cousin had this cartridge, all japanese, I couldn't pass the forest level, my cousin that maniac manage to finish the game all in japanese, around 20 years ago

      @@RaceWithDevil1 impossible the devilman 2004 is the greatest of all devilman media ever in every devilman that existed and every devilman that will exist will never measure up to the scale of devilman 2004 or how it is culty named "2004man"
