Cench and Dave are bigger than D block, numbers don't lie. Streams is how the industry mainly judge success.

Explain why you think that ? No uk artist has sold out 4/5 o2 area apart from d block. Hard ticket sales is more important then streams because you can’t lie them

@@bouncerplaydirty Because in Hip hop the person who streams the most is seen as the number 1, not the person who sells the most tickets... this is aint nothing new bruh

and even if you do the maths im pretty fucking sure that Cench streams so much more than DBE that those little 02 tickets mean fuck all when it comes to who's making the bigger bag...

@@jimjones2757 Now from a listeners perspective I could see why you’d think that but on the artist / label side. Hard tickets are the most important commodity for multiple reasons such as streams can be manipulated and you don’t make a lot off streams. You make 0.003-0.005 per stream on Spotify. The numbers may look like a lot but on the back end ESPECIALLY if you’re signed depending on your splits you don’t see much of that until your label recoups. Let’s say somehow you sign to a 50 50 royalty deal which is rare. You’re giving half of the money you make from streaming. As long as it’s not a 360 you keep your money from shows and merchandise. Which is where most artist make their money.

@@jimjones2757 I would go Cench, DBE, Dave only because Cench I feel like is more of a global act, he signed in the states and is already known in UK. Which is why he gets features like Lil baby. DBE can sell out shows which is more important than streaming. There’s no point in streaming a lot and not being able to sell out a show. I like Dave but the EP with Tiakola to me wasn’t thaaat great. I think he needs to really heat back up.
