I think what’s really important about Genesis 6 is the factor that humans were not like the angels of heaven, aka, the state of being pre-fallen or post-resurrected. Which makes it objectively completely unstable.
When I was 3 years old, my mom was watching me from a distance as I walked around our field. She saw that my shoelaces were untied amd wanted to rush over to tie them. But when she looked out again, she saw two angels smiling at me, one holding my shoulder and the other tying my shoes for me. She always tears up a bit when she tells that story, and knows that God was reassuring her that He watches over the babies of His children. I was driving down the road a couple of weeks ago on the interstate not exactly paying 100% attention going about 75 mph in a 70 zone. All of a sudden the car in front of me slams on the brakes in a seemingly clear road, two people ran out into the road and caused the man slam on his brakes, and I experienced my car turning into the right lane at 75 miles an hour and it was like there was another set of hands on the wheel helping it move. It's about headship, Christ is the head of the church. The man is the head of the wife , a symbol of authority is a mark of acknowledgement and submission to that headship. Not that she is inferior, but that God is a God of order and hierarchy. Men and women have different strengths that harmonise for the foundations of the family and society. The angels observe the workings and fellowship of the church. Women need only cover her head in the formal gathering of the body.

The sons of God in Gen 6 means the sons of the chosen line. The godly line was seduced away from godliness to fleshly indulgence. It cannot mean angels since spirits have no desire for the flesh, and further if they produced offspring that requires God to give life which is blasphemy. Your statement has been disproved by the recent discovery of the Dead Sea Scrolls, which in them in Genesis 6:1-4, the use of the words Sons of God, is talking about Angels, and not human men.
Angels in scripture clearly have bodies as they grabbed Lot out if Sodom, they ate with Abraham and in Hebrews we read that we may entertain angels by helping the poor. Demons are spirits without bodies not angels.

I've studied both scripture in-depth, and have been watching the "late" Michael Heiser teaching for over 12 hours and more, honestly, I can't find anything wrong with Heiser's exegesis. I do, however, think that Heiser would not be welcomed in most churches today. Unless I'm hearing and reading something wrongly, there's a difference between the "Elohim" and the demons we deal with in terms of rank. The Elohim referred to in 2 Peter 2, are imprisoned as I type. The demons we confront regularly are roaming freely. The others are those "Elohim" who are these: "For our struggle is not with flesh and blood but with the principalities, with the powers, with the world rulers of this present darkness, with the evil spirits in the heavens". Paul refers to those Rulers over certain geographic areas, like the Prince of Persia which is IRAN. I can only surmise that those "Elohim" which took to themselves women are now imprisoned, not roaming about. Maybe it's a fine point, but an important one nonetheless.

No he didn't. The book of Enoch is as fallacious as a book can be. It is clear that GOD condemned the old world with a flood because of the sins of mankind. The book of Enoch literally starts stating "this book is not for this generation but one who is to come in the future". Then the book of Enoch is discovered along with the Dead Sea scrolls in the 1940s(?). The book is also referenced in the New Testament with a literal copy pasted verse of the book of Enoch. It seems like God decided to keep the book hidden until the right time.

I think what’s really important about Genesis 6 is the factor that humans were not like the angels of heaven, aka, the state of being pre-fallen or post-resurrected. Which makes it objectively completely unstable.
When I was 3 years old, my mom was watching me from a distance as I walked around our field. She saw that my shoelaces were untied amd wanted to rush over to tie them. But when she looked out again, she saw two angels smiling at me, one holding my shoulder and the other tying my shoes for me. She always tears up a bit when she tells that story, and knows that God was reassuring her that He watches over the babies of His children. He takes care of us all in ways we'll never see, and I always include gratitude for that in my prayers. God bless you all.

I was driving down the road a couple of weeks ago on the interstate not exactly paying 100% attention going about 75 mph in a 70 zone. All of a sudden the car in front of me slams on the brakes in a seemingly clear road, two people ran out into the road and caused the man slam on his brakes, and I experienced my car turning into the right lane at 75 miles an hour and it was like there was another set of hands on the wheel helping it move. I turned in one split second, no one got hurt or in any injury. I was talking to my grandpa when it happened on the phone.

It's The angelic view that Sam endorses on the one hand, and the sethic view that some other holds on the other hand. Both have supporters among the church fathers, I think at least one of them entertained both views at different times. If you check a channel called "refute it" you will see another side of the argument. Angels are spiritual beings and don't have carnal desires. This view is held by many Catholic theologians. Book of Enoch is not part of the canon and could be gnostic. There's also a view that the fallen ones were extraterrestrial beings created by God who doesn't need salvation as human do. There are tons of resources online for you to explore. In any case, since Sam is of nestorian background if I'm not mistaken, I respect his angelic view. By the way, there's even a Wikipedia page of sethic vs angelic view. And there's a protestant movement obsessed with angelic view from 1800s.

It's about headship, Christ is the head of the church. The man is the head of the wife , a symbol of authority is a mark of acknowledgement and submission to that headship. Not that she is inferior, but that God is a God of order and hierarchy. Men and women have different strengths that harmonise for the foundations of the family and society. The angels observe the workings and fellowship of the church. Women need only cover her head in the formal gathering of the body.

The sons of God in Gen 6 means the sons of the chosen line. The godly line was seduced away from godliness to fleshly indulgence.
It cannot mean angels since spirits have no desire for the flesh, and further if they produced offspring that requires God to give life which is blasphemy. God can never be a participant with evil spirits in such evil.
Your statement has been disproved by the recent discovery of the Dead Sea Scrolls, which in them in Genesis 6:1-4, the use of the words Sons of God, is talking about Angels, and not human men.
Angels in scripture clearly have bodies as they grabbed Lot out if Sodom, they ate with Abraham and in Hebrews we read that we may entertain angels by helping the poor. Demons are spirits without bodies not angels.
Can anything mate with anything not of its kind? What is a son of God? Must not say that is correct; Gen 6 talks about the chosen bloodline of the chosen people becoming unevenly yoked.
If you are so sure then you will be able to answer these objections.
Angels are spirits with no body. They are a completely different creation, and inhabit a completely different realm. They are greater in power and might and without gender and therefore sexual urges. It is absurd to suppose they would exchange their higher glory for something they have no desire for! Clearly this idea comes from men who do have such fleshly desires. It is rather like the Muslims desiring 72 virgins! Now I might admire the beauty of a cat but I have absolutely no desire for sexual relations with a cat!!! Can you really not see the very obvious problem and absurdity of this idea?
So where did those angels get their bodies from? They would have to have physical bodies with the requisite DNA etc,. which requires an act of creation, but only God is the Creator. How were they accepted in a closed society where they would be strangers? They would have to live and work in the society before they would be accepted and they would have to have suitable means and a good standing. Can you not see the serious and foolish problems?
For them to produce offspring requires God to give them life which is a blasphemy against God, suggesting He joins with evil spirits to produce offspring.

He also puts a restricted meaning to certain words, for example, angels which kept not their first estate, but left their own habitation would better apply to their sinning and therefore being cast out of Heaven. He appears to be rationalising, that is building a case from a pre determined view rather than letting the Scriptures speak and employing a little thought.

This is interesting to me. I've studied both scripture in-depth, and have been watching the "late" Michael Heiser teaching for over 12 hours and more, honestly, I can't find anything wrong with Heiser's exegesis. I do, however, think that Heiser would not be welcomed in most churches today. Unless I'm hearing and reading something wrongly, there's a difference between the "Elohim" and the demons we deal with in terms of rank. The Elohim referred to in 2 Peter 2, are imprisoned as I type. The demons we confront regularly are roaming freely. The others are those "Elohim" who are these: "For our struggle is not with flesh and blood but with the principalities, with the powers, with the world rulers of this present darkness, with the evil spirits in the heavens".
Paul refers to those Rulers over certain geographic areas, like the Prince of Persia which is IRAN. I can only surmise that those "Elohim" which took to themselves women are now imprisoned, not roaming about. Maybe it's a fine point, but an important one nonetheless.

Sons of God (to my understanding) are called by name GOD/JUDGEMENT/ELOCHIM , is meaning that they had knowledge of good and evil, like judges have, but they do not practice their knowledge, like being corrupted. Jude 14 does not prove that the sons of God where angels it proves the judgment is coming on hi second coming it’s appointed for men to die once then the judgment ( Hebrews 9:27) on men and the angels in chains. You did not quote Jude 6-7, beside if God wanted us to know the writings of Enoch he would have persevered it on the canon! The book of Enoch literally starts stating "this book is not for this generation but one who is to come in the future". Then the book of Enoch is discovered along with the Dead Sea scrolls in the 1940s(?).
The book is also referenced in the New Testament with a literal copy pasted verse of the book of Enoch.

If you listen carefully he butchered Jude 5-7 in verse 5 and 6 Jude is just giving a comparison to us as Christians now to the old testament where he said God saved them out of Egypt but then destroyed who didn’t believe, then he mentioned angels who had Fallen, the thing is God is the one who caused the Fall of Angel the same way he destroyed who he brought out of Egypt….that’s the point but notice how Jude is just making a point and moving on he didn’t liken one verse to another because watch this verse 7 says “As the Sodom and Gomorrah, AND CITIES AROUND THEM IN A SIMILAR MANNER OF THESE” when he said in a similar manner as these he was clearly saying the Cities around sodom and Gomorrah has adapted the similar sexual immorality to S&M (most likely due to proximity) which they also suffered the vengeance of eternal fire, verse 7 was not talking about the angels from verse he already made his point about the angels….if you look at the structure of the verses in order….but like I said Sam will “Reach” to try and make his point.
