For more than a decade, signs at Glacier National Park warned visitors that the glaciers would be gone by the year 2020 - now those signs where quietly removed.
That was more of a political than fact based decision. You could have record snowfall every year, yet with a warming climate, still net glacial shrinkage.
And in fact, the glaciers ARE shrinking.

I was at the park on June 28, 2017, with the intent of driving east on the Going to the Sun Road and the entire road was closed due to snow removal activity still in progress. So, this year is not that unusual for snowfall at elevation in the park.
If the globe warms up any more we will not clear this ever.
Good re heavy snow, the moisture is always needed.

Unwatchable and unprofessional editing. Captioning can be unobtrusive and still effective for anyone who needs it. They apparently know how to put the captions at the bottom of the video as evidenced by the one with Taylor Inman, the reporter reading the news. I am glad Taylor's face wasn't overwritten by the captioning. If viewers won't watch the videos due to the captioning, then their sponsor Loren's Auto Repair is not getting their moneys worth.
