I have enjoyed your photographs and books for several years. Your gallery is wonderful. Keep up the good work. I look forward to what you offer in the future.
Thank you for sharing your favorites and telling about them! My favorite of your favorites is probably the icy tree - stunningly beautiful! You're the first person I've heard use 'my' regular expression, "dark and early" lol. I hope you're feeling better, Erik, and enjoying the winter season!
Thank you so much for creating these wonderful posts. I'm always inspired by your work and your way of life. Such a hard worker, with an amazing commitment to your health. fitness and your art as a photographer.
Thank you so much. I’m glad you enjoyed it. I think my biggest focus is on living a healthy interior life and the time in the mountains really helps with that.
Every picture is just stunning and it is very interesting to learn the back story behind each one. The pictures are so beautiful you get lost in them but I always try to remember the hours of work that went into capturing the image. Thank you and I am looking forward to what you have planned for 2024.
Thank you so much Renee! Yes, a ton of work goes into them. At some point I'll try and film a bit of what's involved. I've been considering showing the process from the intial idea for a photo, to the challenging process of trying to create that image out in the field, all the way to preparing a mounted print for the gallery. Anyway, thanks again for your encouragement!
This was fantastic, Erik! Great images and I just loved the stories behind them, it brings out so much more depth and understanding to the photo. Way cool! Happy New Year to you and your wonderful family!
Thank you for sharing not only your photos but the back story. We enjoyed watching this video and are patiently waiting for the next one. Please do a video on what to expect in May. We are returning early May and would like to be informed. Thanks.
Nature sure is magnificent!! Loved watching and listening to your wonderful stories. Grateful that your fatigue has passed! Looking forward to your next video on Jan 1st.
Wow, thank you for sharing Erik. I find the stories behind the photography fascinating and it's like adding another layer to the art. It really gave the photography texture and meaning. Thanks Erik, and I too am looking forward to seeing what you do in 2024. Happy Holidays!
Glad you enjoyed it Adam! I wasn't sure what would come across in this video as I spent most of that filming day in bed feeling terrible. Thank you for your constant encouragement!
Post holing up to your shoulders? Please watch What Not To Do video.😂 I'm surprised you are even telling us where you were in some of these descriptions, you don't normally do that. I love your work. Photography is my hobby. I visit RMNP quite frequently too. I often think Where would Eric go? Haha. I have recognized some of your hidden gems because I had been there myself. Don't worry, your secrets are safe with me. I don't want to see anyone else there either. Anyway, your work is some of my inspiration and I love what you do. Maybe we'll bump into each other on the trail some day.
Yes, post holing up to my shoulders is not recommended! Fortunately, I was off trail and not making a mess for anyone else. :) I don't think I gave too much away in that video. My agreement with the NPS is that I'll only share exact locations of photos that are made on an official trail or road. Hopefully, I didn't break that agreement anywhere in the video. Perhaps we'll meet out there one day. Thanks so much for your support! :)

Thanks so much. I’m not sure where I got that phrase, but I do use it quite often.😃

@@ErikStensland I figured you were off trail. What a terrifying situation. Your videos are great with no agreements broken. Keep up the great work!
