VOB are 3 young ladies who met in middle school around 2014. Their music/theater teacher let them listen to his playlists on his laptop where they discovered RATM, SOAD, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Beastie Boys and many others. They fell in love and started learning their respective instruments. Starting out learning covers and playing shows in their small conservative village of Singajaya In West Java. They received a lot of criticism and death threats. At one point they considered giving up and asked their teacher/mentor what to do. He told them to ask God and this is how this song was born. It is true their parents were not in favor of this at first but are now fully supportive. They did a tour last summer in the US and I flew from Florida to NY just to see them. It was a fantastic show and I hope to see them again. They never fail to make a cover their own and their original songs are blends of multiple genres. Let me answer those questions. yes they are muslim, and from muslim family background. Their parents allow and support them for sure. Because majority of Indonesian are muslim, and music still debatable that some people believe if music is prohibited in Islam. Majority of Indonesian loves music too. so yeah, I believe so many Indonesian support VOB. Peace!

the story behind this song is, this young ladies live in a remote village in indonesia which is there's a few conservative religious persons who critisize them, because the stigma that was spread around the world that told metal or rock is satanic music. but mostly here in indonesia the people is realy support them and love them, because they're realy skilled and inspiring. Don't forget to appreciate their mentor, Abah Ersa, a true teacher that able to transform three brave children of religious junior high school from very remote area in Singajaya village, Garut, West Java, to become world-level musicians. He who teached them to play guitar and drum, he who accompany them wherever they went for local competitions, he who believed them when other teacher or their own parents were not believe in them, he who gave them books to read and discuss and help build their values and philosophy, he who created songs and wrote the lyrics for them. A true wonderful and very humble teacher.

These ladies are very exciting live. During VOB’s first tour abroad they were very careful to dress modestly. They were surprised at how well the music was received and now they have a loyal following.
In some of the more radical sects of Islam any music that does not serve the faith is discouraged. Rock and Metal is really discouraged. There was a time in some of them where playing music was outright banned. I love the last line before the final refrain. “I just want to sing a song to show my soul!”
Many people ask what is behind or the problem in the body of the VOB group, so this is how VOB grew from middle school to high school, from delinquency they grew a hobby of playing music, not musical instruments, they hit the table as they were hit to make the sound become music. From all of that, their talent can be seen. by their teacher, they were taught to play music as they could until they VOB were invited to inter-school festivals in villages until finally their video was uploaded on UA-cam until it went viral, but because of that, many groups of people were against it because they grew up from devout Muslims. and fanatical all the chatter fell on them until the song grew. God, let us play music. That's a little VOB story and the meaning of VOIS OF BACEPROT itself is a noisy sound or the chatter of a nosy mouth.

The meaning of this song is really GOD allow me please to play music. Islam is the major religion in their country and like all religions it condemns rock music as diabolical. They also sing in their native language Sundanese and do covers, like Killing in the Name (3 tiny Muslim girls in traditional wear yelling FU I won't do what you tell me MF) and an acoustic By the Way (RHCP).

VOB Formed when they were still in high school, This lyric is a criticism about their desire to do rock music, but their parents don't approve of it, They live in a village environment, where all the children their age focus on studying. You need to check out one of their Slipknot covers. How these three can bring it and sound so close to a nine man band is insane how awesome these three are.
I'm so glad they're getting on the reactor channels, particularly now that they are heading out to the UK to play at Glastonbury. I really want them to get a great reception as this will be their first foray abroad since they started managing themselves, so a lot is at stake. To me they embody the spirit of early punk, mixed with the rap-metal of the 90s, and their own sound which encompasses traditional music forms and scales. The fact that they came from homes where they have no running water and have dirt floors, and come from a culture which isn't always hugely receptive to their message (they've had death threats) makes me respect their natural talents all the more. But their parents now do embrace their path in life, now that they're earning a living from it lol. The song itself is in response to those who tried to convince them that their music was ungodly and all that. The went to their community religious leader and said pretty much what they do in this song, and was told that of course they should pursue their dreams, which is really cool to hear. From here, they have a number of originals, mixed with some fantastic covers. They don't sit and make dozens of originals at once like a lot of other bands, but when they do create a new song it is a very special occasion, and always a banger, as the kids say.

The meaning of this song is really GOD allow me please to play music. Islam is the major religion in their country and like all religions it condemns rock music as diabolical. They also sing in their native language Sundanese and do covers, like Killing in the Name (3 tiny Muslim girls in traditional wear yelling FU I won't do what you tell me MF) and an acoustic By the Way (RHCP).

I'm so glad they're getting on the reactor channels, particularly now that they are heading out to the UK to play at Glastonbury. I really want them to get a great reception as this will be their first foray abroad since they started managing themselves, so a lot is at stake. To me they embody the spirit of early punk, mixed with the rap-metal of the 90s, and their own sound which encompasses traditional music forms and scales.
The fact that they came from homes where they have no running water and have dirt floors, and come from a culture which isn't always hugely receptive to their message (they've had death threats) makes me respect their natural talents all the more. But their parents now do embrace their path in life, now that they're earning a living from it lol.
The song itself is in response to those who tried to convince them that their music was ungodly and all that. The went to their community religious leader and said pretty much what they do in this song, and was told that of course they should pursue their dreams, which is really cool to hear.
From here, they have a number of originals, mixed with some fantastic covers. They don't sit and make dozens of originals at once like a lot of other bands, but when they do create a new song it is a very special occasion, and always a banger, as the kids say.

The 3 moslem young metal girl band age 16 years old ( the drummer) the other 2 are 18 years old. The have been on US and European tour last two years. In june 2024 they will perform live in UK.
