Geddy got his first black Fender Jazz bass from a pawn shop in Kalamazoo,MI. They were doing a show that night in town, and were out walking around town durring the day and Geddy saw the pawn shop.
This was in 1977, but Geddy wouldn't use it on an album until 1979-1980 or so, and it didn't become his #1 bass until 1993. He paid $200 for it, which equates to $874 now.
I'd start charging a fee. If people can pick it up to play it and bring it to you for a setup, then they can spend a couple of minutes wiping it down with a rag.
Maybe have a price breakdown: Dusting fee and a DNA removal fee, both billed fairly steep in 10 minute increments to highly incentivise people to get it squeaky clean. De-corroding etc belongs in the general bench work charges.
I wonder if that bridge is positioned correctly. Seems to be a big gap between the E string and the edge of the fretboard compared to hardly any gap at the G string. Great job at guessing ho much to tighten that truss rod.
I have a Japan model. Original neck was slightly twisted; Third Coast in Chicago sent to Fender and got a new one for me free. Having to take neck off to adjust truss rod is just dumb.
Not simply taking off the pickguard, or buying one made for a standard USA Jazz and therefore having a notch, is remarkably dumber. The Geddy trussrod is a simple adjustment with just a little notching of the body wood. Absolutely no big deal on a standard-production instrument. Completely hidden by the original pickguard, easily hidden with a touch of a black Sharpie if you get the USA guard.
I also have a Japan GL that had the same problem due to super low humidity and high temps. Once rehydrated it was fine, and is still one of my favorite playing basses.

I've had my Japan model Geddy Lee Jazz bass since 2005. It's a 2nd Generation model. A friend said he had the 1st Japan model. And the neck had too many problems bowing. So he sold it and bought a Music Man. He loves it. Mine was set up by a guy named Grass Hopper at Bass Central 6 years ago. Played out side in Florida a few times. The humidity really takes a turn on the neck. And now the strings after changing brands Are buzzing. So back to Grass Hopper.
I own a very similar bass. It's a Fender Jazz (Highway One series) made in USA. It's black with a white pickguard and the Badass bridge. Main difference is that it has a rosewood fretboard with white dot markers. Gives that lovely Rickenbacker growl at a fraction of the price. The pickguard has a slot so that the neck can be adjusted without removal.
