"James Bond may have a license to kill, but that doesn't mean he has a license to straight up murder people" - WatchMojo
Umm...that's kinda what "license to KILL" means.
Austin Martin Do you think the people at Watchmojo are smart enough to know that?
Austin Martin I think she means that he can kill villians and not get arrested but not to kill someone without a reason
RIGHT F..KING ON!
There is a difference between general killing and murder. A policeman in certain circumstances is allowed to kill but never murder someone.
Uhhhh yeah he has a Licence to murder people, who he wants, where he wants, how he wants. That's what a Licence to Kill is.
"Both of these women wanted to kill james but he didnt have to act in self defense" hmm
I know... biased bullshit
Imagine if a women did the same thing
OTHER WOMENS : “OH YEAH COMPLETELY JUSTIFIED, CUNT DESERVED IT.”
@Time Lord In this case it's called political correctness.
Thanks Watchmojo, next time a women wants to stab or shoot me, the morally correct thing to do is don’t defend myself. I may be dead but at least feminists will approve
@@hill1629 Thanks God. Normal people are still alive.
Watch Mojo: "Sure, James Bond uses women as human shields leading to their immediate demise, but by far the worst thing he's done is wear a straight haired toupee."
Idk why using the women as shields is a bad thing. WatchMojo themselves literally said they were enemies.
That was just one example of murder, which they listed as the least awful. The worst being “poorly trying to pass as Asian.”
He held an innocent woman captive. He murdered suspects without due process. But wearing yellow face is the most unforgivable.

If you think James Bond is sexist, you should watch “The Man from U.N.C.L.E. ....
If you think Bond is racist you should watch Birth of a Nation (1915).
If you think James Bond is badass, you should watch the scene where he gets scared of a guy wearing a polar bear costume in On Her Majesty's Secret Service.
James Bond unlocked an Achievement: *_Meat Shield_*
Was dat a goblin slayer reference??🤔🤔🤔
Try reading Fleming's original novels. The term "villain protagonist" comes to mind in some of them...
What's the worst thing he did IN THE BOOKS???
@@WatchMojoLady Hard to say, but I know some contenders.
For example, the final scene in the first book has him murder the girl he slept with in cold blood, the last line in the book being to call someone and say, "The bitch is dead."
AND... as the video shows, that scene in Goldfinger has always been described as "questionable consent". The original version of Goldfinger left no "questionable", it was clearly rape.
Also, same movie, fans might remember that in the climax, the eponymous villain dies when his own carelessness causes the plane to decompress, resulting in him blown out a window. Book version, that's how Oddjob is killed. Goldfinger, however, is strangled by the furious Bond. Clearly this is another time the protagonist murders someone.
In fact, Fleming originally wrote "The Spy Who Loved Me" in an attempt to show younger fans that Bond wasn't someone you should admire. Didn't work as he planned.
@@briancorvello3620 Yikes... thanks for the info. I guess he really is an anti-hero, but it's kinda weird/sketchy/unfortunate that not everyone sees it that way...
@@briancorvello3620 He doesn't murder Vesper Lynd you utter plumsack, she took a handful of sleeping pills and killed herself. Try actually reading the book.

3:46 - Defenseless man??? Just 5 seconds ago the guy tried to murder Bond.
Judging the 60s from the perspective of 2019 is the height of stupidity
I have always said you can't judge the past by todays standards
Agreed!👍
I'm sure soon enough that in the warnings you get before watching movies, like "mature themes" or "nudity", soon we'll have warning labels about "racist themes" or "sexism". Also it's funny how mono rated the racism as being worse than the straight up murder scenes.
Agreed, and if you read the book You Only Live Twice. Bond is made to resemble an Ainu from Northern Japan. Nothing offensive in the term 'Oriental'.
Surprised James Bond isn't portrayed as a woman yet. It's coming! Topped off with seducing another woman. Today's standards or no standards?
I’d say Mickey Rooney playing a Japanese in “Breakfast at Tiffany’s “ is worse than Sean Connery playing a Japanese. At least there was a reason for Bond to masquerade as a Japanese.
Dean DeCoursey And it wasn’t even his idea. And he’s surrounded by other Japanese who clearly don’t give a shit. And, so far, no one ever came forward claiming they quit because it happened, either. So, why should anyone give a shit?
I’d say it’s a tie between Mickey Rooney and John Wayne as Genghis Khan.
Then there's Dick van Dyke's crime of murdering the Cockney accent in Mary Poppins.
Both were pretty shitty, but Rooney was way, way worse.
The new trailer for James Bond I feel Rami Maleks character could be related to Blofeld. That phantom of the opera moment with his character from the trailer looked good.
Come On, Number 10.
If They’re Villiains They’ve Got It Coming.
I like how they leave that out until the End. Even they know its BS
mark borishnikoff I Certainly Hope So.
I Don’t Understand Why They’d Add That, If They Knew That Though? Doesn’t Make Sense.
@@One_of_Many750 I agree.
Bond's actions in this video can be divided into three categories:
1. Things done to complete a mission or to survive. You could argue that they were necessary.
2. Very cruel punishments to the villains. Not excusable, but you no one in the audience will mourn them.
3. Things that really have no excuse. Forcing a woman to sleep with him using threats or straight up rapping them (this happened in the Golden Eye novel, and was understandably changed to an ''aggressive seduction'' in the movie)
*_For those who don't know, Roald Dahl is also one of the screenwriters of "You Only Live Twice". You may thought he's a children's book writer, he's also has some kickass writing._*
James Bond 007 in, "The BFG With a BFG"
Lol I wish he wrote all Moore’s movies... Moore was great as Bond, but pretty much all the movies he was on playing the spy, it was bad.
"One of"? Wasn't Dahl the sole screenwriter?
Mr. Friendship - The reverse is also true: as well as the Bond novels, Ian Fleming also wrote Chitty Chitty Bang Bang (incidentally, Roald Dahl was one of the writers for its big screen adaptation, which was produced by Albert R Broccoli.)
Regarding #8: It's a lot worse after reading the book, when you discover the blackmail was added to the film. The attempted assassination with the traction machine happens in the book, but the following chapter has Bond and Patricia discussing it with Patricia's boss.
#4 is a similar moment added to the film. In the book, Solitaire gives a false reading to protect Bond at the beginning, and then seeks him because she wants a way out.
10:10 - Uhhhh no he doesn't, Bond never refers to the Japanese as "orientals", the only time the word "oriental" appears in the script is when Bond says he took a first in "oriental languages at cambridge". The only time a person was referred to as an "oriental" was by Lupe in Licence To Kill.
What's wrong with the term Oriental anyway?
I've never heard that it's a bad term before
And WatchMojo called it "yellowface" but calls Bond racist lol
It’s inaccurate. West Asian is Oriental, not East Asian.

Bond is an assassin, people are a means to an end, including women.
Exactly right. He's not meant to be a "spy" at all...
Think you’re confusing James Bond with Jason Bourne
Expect me to talk?
Half of this list is just watch mojo complaining how misogynistic James Bond was in the 60s
Daiveon Mallery Totally! 😂
Jupp😂
Well, he literally rapes a woman on screen in the 60s, so they are spot on.
Skyfall is a recent movie....
7:26 - No, Bond's bosses would not have any questions for him, they gave him a Licence to Kill, if he's not supposed to use it on Dominic Greene then why even have it?
I was expecting a good list. I didn’t get a good list. Very disappointing.
#2 was such a powerful scene!!! You guys missed the cues of how Bond was hurt by this... That was a good job by the director...
Fun fact: Roald Dahl wrote the script for "You only live twice"
The Bond books were never written as guides on how to be virtuous, they're a product of their time. At the crux of it though is a deeply complex character who more often than not winds up saving the day, sure he has questionable moments in getting there but don't we all?
Bob Smith Welcome to Cancel Culture, where everything is offensive and common sense doesn’t matter.

Your comment offends me. I'm gonna tell on you.
Shooting at the scientists in the second mission of Goldeneye on Nintendo 64
I used to shoot them in the ass.
Okay, let me say two things.
First, we all know James Bond is less than moral. But because of the action in the films and the attractive stars (looking at you, Pierce Brosnan), we tend to forgive him for all his mistakes.
Second, isn't it funny how half of these are from the Connery and Moore films? They ended up here because films back then were more sexist.
Glad to know Brosnan is safe from this list.
Basically this just nearly 10 times Bond upset the METOO movement.
He only did it twice in the video.
One time where he forces a woman to have sex with him or lose her job in the massage.
The other is in the Golden Eye novel, where his ''aggressive seduction'' of Pussy Galore is explicitly described as a rape.
Lol great point...Black Lives Matter will be doing a top 10 naughty Bond video next

Yeah it is! I love the Robot Chicken with the "alternate" great pumpkin story. Charlie Brown gets even with Lucy for that football torture!
Actually, You Only Live Twice is one of my favourite Bond movies. If anyone's being racist, it's WatchMojo with the term "yellowface".
Yeah the 00 license to kill does mean he can "murder" henchmen.
Omg the world's most famous assassin has killed someone who tried to kill him.... what a horrible person he is.....
Worst thing was not letting Timothy Dalton doing his trilogy . License to kill was so great

The Secret Agent, The Pretty Lady and the Bad Guy make a good storyline for the 007 movies.

How about Top Ten times Lucy Van Pelt from Peanuts was a straight up calculating psycho but job??? Lol
You can’t flat out say bond is a terrible person then mostly show the incredibly old movies. Lol. The time back then was way different.
Misogyny is the only valid criticism in this entire list.
@@cameroncaws8506 And psychopathy, narcissism, consumerism, plot armor, arrogance, chauvinism, dogmatism, violence, manipulation...
Bond is just epic. A class in itself. Without those things hes done, it wouldnt be any better than any other spy movie
1:26 He does that in some later films too. A Living Daylights comes to mind.
Specifically, the scene where an angry Bond goes to confront Pushkin; when an alarm is sounded, he forces Pushkin's girlfriend to take her top off and face the door. When the guard comes in, he's distracted by the now-topless girl, letting Bond get the jump on him. At least here he has the decency to give her a towel and tell her to lock herself in the bathroom so he and Pushkin can have words.
That was such a badass scene. Minus the stripping thing. But even that just shows how pissed off he was about Saunders’ murder. Dalton best Bond actor by far
Yeah...Mr. Bond has a serious dark side. Not to mention how, in the books, he never took killing lightly
Ordering his drinks "shaken" and not "stirred" has always been a problem..
🍸🤦♀️
It was only a faux pas when Fleming was writing the novels. Back in the 1950's, a martini was always made with gin and stirred. Fleming wanted Bond to be an "individualist" like himself so he had him order his drinks shaken. It is actually because of James Bond that almost every bartender will shake their cocktails unless otherwise requested.
Live and Let Die is one of the BEST Bond films. It's also the one Bond film that could never be made today
Roger Moore is The Best Bond
I don't know if i'd say best. one of the moore underappreciated definelty. him and Dalton.
Why I get the feeling that the MeToo movement would come back in full force when they watch this?
About half of these films probably wouldn't be made post MeToo.

If you get tired of the movies, there IS an authorized autobiography about James Bond to read. The author is John Pearson.
The real title of this video should be called, "Top 10 things James Bond has done to piss-off SJWs."
I mean come on! I can think of so many more worse things he's done then how he questionably treats women! Murder, poisoning, kidnapping, theft... should I keep going?
Well he is an agent he isn’t afraid to get his hands dirty whatever gets the mission done
No matter how many women he slaps for no reason at all... Especially when he has sex with tons of women sometimes forcefully and mostly just rape... Because that's definitely in the mission agenda... Yep
Step 1) go to exotic place for mission
Step 2) rape and force sex on locals
Step 3) almost fail the mission then get lucky and proceed to claim the offensive shit is all part of his charm
V1ralB1ack well yes and no agents will do whatever it takes to get shit done so no they are trained to have no feeling to anyone outside of mi6 only a fake persona charming and witty but in the end it’s get the job done that’s it so killing sex stealing whatever it says on the mission info you DO
@@V1ralB1ack If anything Hitman seems to be better.
@@HuntedHuntsmen supposedly they have no emotions and yet so many movies are based on mi6 agents going rogue... And he always ends up getting emotionally involved at least a little so the fact that he's abusive or even the fact that he thinks womanizing and being a sexist piece of shit is a tool to help his mission makes him a piece of shit...
It's not racist of Bond to be undercover in disguise.
Especially when he's banging all nationalities.
Well in For Your Eyes Only, After his fellow MI6 contact, Ferrara was murdered. Bond and Colombo raided Kristatos' warehouse in Albania, But Locque escapes and Bond gives chase to kill him.
There, He shot Locque and he lost control of the car and hung over the edge. Believing that he killed Ferrara, Bond then show and throw the dove pin (the clue on Ferrara's body) and says:
"You left this with Ferrara I believed"
and he kicked the car off the cliff, killing Locque.
I think his worst moments are hitting and physically abusing the women: Tanya Romanova in "From Russia with love", Tiffany Case in "Diamonds are forever" and Andrea Anders in "The man with the golden gun"
tanya was a spy
@@lucamarcomassidda3853 I know but he didn't have to get so physical with her. Things were different in the 60s and 70s

Bond is an amoral character, so I suppose none of this should come as a surprise to anyone vaguely familiar with the franchise.
Then again... some of this stuff makes you wonder if there's a monster like those he murders inside that calm exterior.
I suppose that's why he's still relevant to this day: He's dangerous, but also dangerously appealing to some people.
But disrespecting the Beatles is unforgivable!
As soon as number 10 hit the list I already knew that this was gonna take be a looooooooong list.
Half this list is either harmless shit or things that were probably fine according to society at the time lol
Rape was never okay for women. Sexual assault was never okay for women. Just because a society was not willing to openly speak about that, means that it was "okay". Those are horrible things, no matter the time period - okay?
@@borskavin6395 Explain it more to me.
@@baronvg Do you want me to explain why rape and assault were always horrible things to do to anyone? Or do you want to know why James Bond is guilty of these crimes?
@@borskavin6395 Both, please..
@@baronvg okay, the first part should be quite f*cking obvious, so I'll leave that part up to you to answer why rape and sexual assaultare as horrible experiences for any victim as they have been 20, 50, 100 or 1000 years ago. The fact that victims could not open up about that, even risking being killed if they did, probably made things even worse for them.
But on the second part: Bond did not bother with the boundaries of multiple women. Connery Bond straight up forced himself on Galore in "Goldfinger" (#6 on the list), until she gave up her physical resistance (relying on the dudes who have read the books, it was orginally written as a rape scene in the novels, and the movie in only a little less explicit on that). She did not consent to kissing and neither did she freely choose to have sex with him, he just proceeded because he was stronger (and took no No for an answer).
On another note, Craig's Bond abused Sévérine in "Skyfall". She was a former prostitute and was forced into that industry, therefore obviously had a rape trauma. He approached her in a super-vulnerable moment in the shower, even joked that she did not have her Berretta to defend herself. Due to her trauma, she did not resist, but that does not mean that it wasn't rape. He never asked for consent, he just did his thing. Basically rape. Not to mention how little her death affected him.
You get it now?

A lot of these were taken out of context despite the context you provided. You provided wrong background info or not enough.
Examples:
1. “waste of damn good scotch” was said to not shown weakness while in captivity.
2. Kicking Locke over the edge in his car. Locke killed Bond’s alibi and friends wife.
3. Stuck a girl in the closet to sleep with another girl for information because it’s the villains mistress. Gotta do what you gotta do. The girl he stuck in the closet was an agent anyways.
4. Nick Nack was a henchman..he’s done worse to other henchmen, aka actually kill them.
5. Taking Solitaire’s viriginity was needed but not necessary to help in taking down Kanaga’s operation. Kanaga completely relies on Solitaire’s abilities and then no longer could.
6. Leaving Greene in the desert. Remember last time how bringing Mr. White went? Bond figured out the operation, got pics of the higher ups involved and wanted revenge for Vespyr. He left Greene out of spite. Understandable.
James Bond is a spy not a cop. What should do with the small villain ? Let them live and run to their boss or call the cops ?
