My own faves: 1. The wargame that pitted the 00 Section vs 22 SAS on Gibraltar & introduced Timothy Dalton as James Bond in The Living Daylights. 2. James Bond in Little Nellie vs SPECTRE’s gunships (You Only Live Twice) 3. 007’s Lotus Esprit converts to a mini submarine in The Spy Who Loved Me. 4. Last stand against Silva in Skyfall. 5. 007 & the US Navy SEALs vs SPECTRE in Thunderball. 6. Showdown with LeChiffre at the poker table. (Casino Royale) 7. Bond’s training exercise at the start of Never Say Never Again. 8. 007 exacts revenge on Blofeld.6 (For Your Eyes Only) 9. 007 infiltrates a weapons bazaar & recovers 2 nuclear missiles. (Tomorrow Never Dies) 10. Bond earns his 00 Status. (Casino Royale).
There is such a great emphasis on car chases here. Very fitting I’m watching this because I just got my driver’s licence. Another funny story is when I thought about driving when I was younger, I thought about James Bond.
LOVE that Parkour Chase from Casino Royale. That film is just a masterpiece, as both that chase and the airport chase are fantastically done--and the film never loses its overarching spy theme The motorcycle chase Bond and Wai Lin have in Tomorrow Never Dies was fantastic, and way underrated in the Bond Cannon; Tracy and Bond escaping Irma Bundt and her men in OHMSS was also fantastic. I really feel the boat chase from TWINE should've made the list, and not just the honorable mentions
@@venturatheace1 Connery would be tired after that chase scene in the beginning of Casino Royale alone. Sean Connery is smooth but Craig is the more convincing fighter
Good list but how do you not mention the best part of the goldfinger chase, the old lady with the machine gun? Lol I always assumed it was goldfingers mother.

missing the motorcycle-helicopter chase from Tomorrow never dies is criminal. easily top5 with a real bike jump from the balcony to the roof across the street
The motorcycle chase w/ Michelle Yeoh in Tomorrow Never Dies is way underrated. I personally find it better than the remote control car chase due to the great stunt work.
Many people nowadays don't give this franchise its due credit, it's the action franchise that started it all... I believe if it weren't for Bond, we wouldn't have got the 80s action movies which lead on to the action movies we have today. The big hero kicking ass and taking names with style while throwing out the jokes and one liners and could at times be dark and cold blooded and serious when the mood striked... Bond was the beginning
Watch Mojo keeps on giving and we keep on Lovin🤩 GoldenEye is my favourite scene with bond sweeping off the road on an Iron Tank with the background signature song Pierce Brosnan looking Suave all the while maneuvering it Wow could there be anything more we wanna ask for.
The editing on "Quantum of Solace" wasn't that bad, especially in the opening car chase When done right, each shot introduced a new element to the scene
Yeah, the whole movie really wasn't that bad. It did have many misfortunes against it. While I agree that shaky-cam was way overused in the 2000s because of Bourne, I also agree that it wasn't that horribly executed in the QoS.
Recently rewatched some of the action scenes from QoS, and I have to agree with you on most of it. All of the shots convey some kind of relevant information, and if you pay attention, you can still follow what is happening. The quick cutting and closeby shots give the scenes a really tense and almost claustrophobic feel, which is quite cool.
I have watched Bond since I was a little kid so when I watched QoS in the theater, I didn’t care for it. But in the last few years, it has grown on me. Don’t get me wrong, it isn’t as good as Casino Royale but it has its good points. My fav part is when Bond confronts Vesper’s boyfriend.
To me Pierce Brosnan’s Bond always had the best action sequences. It helped that he was so damn dashing. Very disappointed Die Another Day’s hovercraft scene and Tomorrow Never Dies’ bike chase werent even mentioned. Sky dive sequence from Moonraker The opening credits plane sequence and end sequence with Bond fighting on the plane wings in Octopussy The ski chase and parachute jump in Spy Who Loved Me Opening chase in Gibraltar from The Living Daylights The boat chase in From Russia With Love The volcano base attack in You Only Live Twice
Always loved the showdown between 007 and 006 on the cradle in Goldeneye. Its a gunfight/foot chase/fist fight and it's awesome. The best Bond vs Villain final showdown of the franchise IMO!!! 006- "For England James?" 007- "No... for me"
The opening chase of Quantum is no match for the airport chase in Casino Royale. In addition to that, almost all the action scenes in The Living Daylight are solid, not to mention the whole climactic battle from the airport to the plane and then the landing (probably still my favorite 007 climactic battle). License to Kill has that truck stunt, for sure, but honestly no match for Living Daylight's overall quality.
Ummm that chase sequence in Quantum of Solace was TERRIBLE, you can’t even tell what’s going on due to the shaky cam because the direction either A) Has a serious case of ADHD or B) They were trying so desperately hard to rip off Jason Bourne.
Really happy the parkour chase in CR is first but in what world is Quantum of Solace’s opening better than Skyfall? The car chase of Quantum is so badly edited that you can’t even tell what the hell is going on. Or is a bunch of close ups and cuts in action movies a good thing nowadays? The opening scene in Skyfall should’ve been number 3 but if we’re going to put one scene from Quantum, why not the plane scene?
You forgot the chase scene in Tomorrow Never Dies where Pierce Brosnan and Michelle Yeoh are driving a motorcycle, handcuffed to each other, and they each want to be the one in front.
# 10: Sadly most of Sir Roger Moore’s tenure was marked by too much comedy. For Your Eyes Only was the one time 007 fans ever saw him able to play James Bond seriously. And, yes, the hick sheriff character seen in both Live and Let Die & The Man With the Golden Gun was absolutely unnecessary.
A lot of people just seem to fit an agenda Quantum. I feel this opening scene is really edgy and cool and would’ve loved the cuts and shaky camera in this if they didn’t follow it on in the rest of the movie
Bobsled chase in OHMSS in place of ski chase; open airplane fight in TLD instead of snow chase; motorcycle/helicopter chase in TND instead of parking garage chase; rooftop foot chase in QOS instead of opening car chase. Honorable mentions: protracted train chase in Octopussy; skydive freefall in Moonraker; Spectre party fight in No Time To Die; hoovercraft chase in DAD; volcano ninja attack in YOLT. And, of course, the parachute ski off a massive cliff (done for real near the Arctic Circle) in SWLM. 🔫🍸

The train scene in Skyfall, and the way James fixes his wrist cuffs after he jumps, are my personal favorites
The cuffs fix was brilliant, just like when Brosnan fixes up his tie while in the tank in GoldenEye

@@BigFella117 classic scene, another iconic Bond mement
@@James-gj8rn I very much agree
Lame
The airport scene in Casino Royale, the motorcycle rooftop chase in Skyfall, and Skyfall’s finale all deserve to be on here
Skyfall’s finale was absolutely insane. The atmosphere and the only source of lighting being the house was amazing
It’s amazing how one slide whistle sound effect can make you feel like a stunt is fake despite it being one of the classic movie car stunts
Yeah, the stuntman actually did the jump in one take! It’s an incredible accomplishment!
The opening scene in No Time To Die is just flawless
