Awesome tutorial. I have an issue tho and I don't know how to fix it. I'm rendering with mantra and I my particles seem suuper bloated, as if its a bubble explosion instead of dust. I tried to change all the parameters to see if that would fix it but nothing seems to change the particle / bubble size... idk if anyone else had the same issue but i'm kinda stuck there and I'm pretty new with houdini so I'd appreciate some help hehe. Thanks!
Hi Leah! that's probably because houdini assigns a default scale to your particles when rendered. if you want to change their scale, use an Attribute Wrangle node and use the @width attribute set to 0.001 for example :) hope that helps!
Hello love the video, is it possible to get a link to downlaod the original 4K version? Sometimes your UI is small and it is hard to see without zooming. So I would like to use VLC and get some zoom's in. If it is possible :P No worries if you can't. I'll squint harder! xD
Thank you for the tutorial. Everything is fine untill rendering. I don't know why, but I have just everything black and no particles are visible (ohter objects are visible). I hope that I'll find and solve this problem soon.
@@studiorayz the problem was with pscale. Check in your geometry spreadsheet the value of pscale. In attribute wrangle node after popnet check the value "scale" (we've create it in wrangle), default it is 0. If you change it, everything works perfectly. My problem was there. Hope that this will help you.
@@DariaSigalova @pscale = ch("scale") * (chramp("scale_ramp", u)); then under that is a slider which you can change? (Might add on both the Particles and Emission point wranglers?
Hi I have a question, I am a beginner .And my computer is 5900X+3080ti+64G . I thought it could run houdini quickly but I played my animation and it turned out to be very laggy however houdini hasn't run out of my CPU (only around 15%),is there anything wrong with my houdini settings or computer settings?
In my PC environment, when playing Houdini animation, the utilization rate of CPU is about 95%. Perhaps the CPU processor is not assigned to Houdini in your PC environment. If os is windows, please try the following steps. 01. Start Houdini and open Task Manager 02. Select houdini.exe and select "Show Details" from the right-click menu. 03. You will be taken to the Details tab, select houdini.exe in it and select "Relationship Settings" from the right-click menu. 04. The processor relations window opens. Check the check boxes of each CPU to assign them.
This is amazing. Clean, sharp and precise! Bravo.
Glad you think so!
I love this format.

you completed the Rebelway course???
Black cape marvel comics the power of the universe tachyon particles
some steps is not very clear
you should mention upfront that this requires a paid plugin, I spent an hour and half only to realize i need to pay to get the render
