I wish it would be without the pen at all, as it would cut costs even more. + It gives more harm than profit - the film that is above the screen to enable the pen support reflects the light much more then the other devices without pen or with Wacom support (just compared the S2 Color video and this Pocketnote 2 video, the difference is quite noticeable). I've been using mine for a week and haven't yet unboxed the pen, but definitely noticed that if you read with a desk lamp, you have to position it different than the actual paper, otherwise half of the screen would be just a glare.
It would have been perfect if it had Wacom! I love my Staedtler Noris wacom pen and I don't think I'll fare well without it.. I don't care about sticking to the side that much, though it would be a nice touch.
My wife and I found that her nice and comfy Microsoft Surface Pro pen actually works on this. It also takes one AAAA battery, but it's a MUCH more comfortable pen, and it erases if you use a good drawing app that expects it.
@@SkepticalCaveman Gallery is not even better overall. Yes the color could be better but in some cases the Kaleido is more preferable. I saw inkpad color 3 and it's fast, less ghosting and has nice looking colors. Gallery has more details but the greyscale and the ghosting is bad for its price. And we're only talking about screens, the software is equally important. Which company uses Kaleido 3? Boox, Pocketbook and soon Kobo. Which uses gallery? Bigme. What even is that? Hahah. Id be happier if I'm given Boox color than a Bigme color eink but Kobo libra color for 250 CAD sounds really good
I tried to look for news about 13.3" color e-ink devices, but I must have missed it or something. For me, with the slow refresh rate of e-ink display, it is a no-brainer to design bigger screens to show more stuff at once so that each refresh is worth the wait.
Does this support the kindle app? I’m planning to get my very first kindle paperwhite but want a coloured e-reader. I mostly use kindle as my main e-book platform but my eyes gets irritated with long hours of reading from my phone that’s why I wanted to get an e-reader
damn i just ( 2 days ago ) bought myself a boox page for my manga, if i would have known then i could have gotten this and also use it for my comics instead of a normal tablet
I bought this unit (Bigme 751C Color) from Amazon but I returned it because it was just too dark without backlight and the color really wasn't that great. I am buying a Boox Page instead for reading. I think you made a smart decision. 🙂 You really have to have the backlight on to see this Bigme unit so the battery life will not be great. The color just wasn't worth it - but that's my opinion.
Hello guys, This device works with a capacitive pen. So i want to buy hp rechargeable active g3 but this pen work on this device? Or recommend any capacitive pen? İ bought lamy all star but didn't work because not capacitive. İ want to send back but seller doesn't accept refund 😭

Hello, does the Microsoft surface pen pro still work for you on this device? Thank you
@@nat4465 I would imagine fine, but she upgraded to a new InkNoteX so I can't say for positive, but I don't know why it would have changed.
Kaleido becomes cheaper because Gallery is better.
@@epaper_eink depends what you use it for. For reading it's fast enough. Who watches video on Eink anyway?
Gallery has too many issues at the moment. Color saturation and speed are really really really bad.
@@ThePianist51 depends on what you use it for. Next generation of Gallery will kill off Kaleido for good.

Too slow interface, isn’t it? What about comparison with b/w version and with Onyx page?

The Linfiny 13.3 is on route to us and we should have it within the month
@@goodereader Cool! I'll be looking forward to your review. I only wish it were a Gallery 3 instead of Kaleido 3.

Hi I’m looking into this one but I’m wondering if you have found alternative stylus to use that don’t require battery? Thanks
I think the K3 Mobiscribe Wave will be better if you don't need the physical buttons and pocket-size.
Mobiscribe is notoriously low quality, so don't hold your breath just yet.
is the difference between this one and the non color variant the same with like the new phone they released recently?
Can you draw in color on this pad?

What pen protocol does this use? That pen looks like some of the cheap third-party pens that work with Surface devices. If it used MPP, I'd like that.
Maybe they have the settings for 256 for developers.
Nice colour
