  • In this video, I break down the biggest OSRS flipping mistakes that I see beginners AND experienced flippers making while they flip. A lot of these mistakes are overlooked, and I think a lot of the flipping community does not realize how much these mistakes are hurting their cash stack gains.
Be sure to drop a like if you enjoy and let me know in the comment section which mistakes you've made in the past, or maybe even continue to make!

I had gp tied up in a master wand flip because the margins looked good. Turns out I was nearing the end of my bond time and it sat waiting to sell for about 2-3 months. Finally got mems again and was able to adjust the price and eat the loss. With those 2-3 month I could have made another 2m with that gp on f2p casual flipping.

Stick to low but very popular items suchas pking gear etc. Supply vs demand...it's that simple with flipping tbh

I've learned the update day lesson twice the hard way, once with dcbs on nex update, once with wildy weapons this update, didn't panic and paper hands though I held for most of the day and managed to minimise losses that would of been 25m+ into a couple M loss and recovered alot from flipping the volatile newer items released on day trying to do damage control.
but yeah always sell day before update cause when you wake up it will of crashed so hard, one thing i've learned also sometimes its better to just take the L and move onto other items instead of waiting for prices to return to normal, better to lose a few m and try to make it back with better items than wait weeks/months just to save face wasting time

Tax itself is a good idea, but the tax % is too high

    • @ANUBASS

@@Celibrimbor no it isnt, it benefits no one but jagex stopping players making as much in game so they are forced to buy membership instead of earning it their own way.
notice how even with the item sink n tax the prices of items haven't changed dramatically and the change that has happened was because the economy and game was dead because nobody wanted to play anymore last year with how shitty the updates n game had become.
say an item that used to make a 1.1m profit for example claws, now it takes 1m tax and leaves you with 100k profit meaning unless you find lucky margins you have to sit grovelling for spare change when trying to merch instead of making real money.
players can no longer buy and sell gear to do different bosses without losing 100k-1m+ everytime they buy and sell an item for the same price there is literally nothing beneficial about tax because none of the gp collected under the guise of helping the economy is actually used for benefit of players its just deleted to cover for the bot farms n rwters flooding the game.

@@ANUBASS I opposed the tax mainly because it makes the overall playerbase less wealthy. People always complain "omg this item is so cheap jagex please fix this", and the argument is that the tax makes PvM and other activities more profitable since the drops are worth more. But this doesn't really help most people because the higher gp/hr of an activity is cancelled out by everything being more expensive due to the tax. A 1.3b Tbow might be good for people who farm CoX, but it's not good for people who are trying to scrape together enough gp for one. The vast majority of the playerbase will never get a drop more valuable than maybe a Bandos Chestplate anyway.
I've benefited greatly from the tax because it increased margins for flipping, and it gives an advantage to people who have a lot of gp and experience. People who have less than 100m are kinda screwed. High-end PvMers also benefit because the drops stay super valuable for a longer period of time. So it's a rich get richer type of situation.

If it was the same that would mean if you guys didn't buy it for 20% bellow market price and sold it for twice the price there would be nothing on the grand exchange. The truth is, if you guys didn't do this the buyer would have bought the one 20% bellow market price instead. You can say whatever you want, doesn't make you right, whos ignorant now? hahahaha
