For anyone who is telling it’s only been 6 months since Vision Pro has been released, this bro is living in a different timeline and he lives 6 months ahead of us.
The first desktop computer the Xerox Alto came into existence at Xerox Parc in the early 1970s and the concept has pretty much remained the same to this day. We have obviously evolved computers into several form factors: smart phones, tablets, laptops, but the Mac and Windows computers have not stood still. The Mac Mini or a Dell Optiplex 7010 are perfect examples of the first concepts that exist to this. Exponentially way more powerful, easier to use, but they are basically the same fundamental devices that existed 50 years ago: keyboard, mouse, display, system unit. Which is exactly why I believe the Desktop Computer, while it might significantly become more of a niche will be here in 20 years and so will the smartphone. If you look even at the iPhone, compared to the original that came out in 2007, they have actually gotten bigger and heavier. As for the Vision Pro, first thing they can maybe do is lose the eye sight lenticular lens and replace it with a built in battery, switch out the aluminum for a lighter carbon fiber material using a faux pas coating. If they do anything that diminishes the software experience compared to the original, then it won't catch on. Hopefully 2 NM that will increase battery life, increase miniaturization and possiblly combine R1/R2 into the Apple silicon chip itself to further save on space and reduce weight.
I would recommend the Global Cluster Headstripe CMA1 to wear the Vision Pro for longer periods of time. It‘s heavier but well balanced on your head. No need to wear a Light Seal anymore.

I think the title is misleading. You can't count it's announcement as meaning it's a year. It was released in February first in US. it may well be the most expensive standalone but there are more expensive PCVR headsets such as Varjo.
The lack of real softwares for the device might be the reason. My experience with Quest 2 is that there are not a lot of big games for it so 128gb storage felt like it is enough
Canadian here picking up his AVP on Saturday. It HAS to be better than my Quest 3 or I’ll end up returning. I’m looking for clear visuals and it’s more business case use than gaming. I don’t game on my Quest so I’m hoping the purchase will be worth it.
Smiling while saying he spent almost $7,000 for a vr headset Me: Spent $300 on my Quest 3, doing mixed reality....... and playing awesome games. Apple Vision Pro: "sound of crickets" 😂
4:53 Just as a Workaround, Can't you just (with the macBook obviously and reflecting to the Vision Pro) get a few browsers open and put a different game to each one and watch a few games simultaneously?
I'm so on the edge of getting one of these damned things. It honestly ticks me off that it isn't even just a little bit more pushed by Apple, especially as far as gaming goes. So far it's been a big disappointment...and I SO badly wanted this to be something magical...which it 100% is capable of being, but damn :( It doesn't have any 'must have' apps or games it seems. For me, the Quest has Beat Saber...and even if the Quest did almost nothing else, it'd be worth owning just for that single experience (freaking love that game). I'm trying really hard to find an app or use for the Vision Pro that would justify the purchase...and the harder I look, the sadder I become. I'm on the edge just to use it as a very expensive 3d television for movies. I have a very stressful job and the idea of coming home and relaxing with my Vision is very enticing...but not enough. Hell even something as simple as it being able to run Beat Saber would probably be enough to push me into picking one up...that's how on the edge I am. It's all about the 'future' with this thing. But it's been out for 6 months at this point and the longer it's out the less hope in that future I'm having. So far it looks very bleak for the Vision. I'm still hoping that eventually Apple will do one of their events and at the end they'll do their whole "One more thing"...thing...and reveal a short like 15 second video/trailer of a pair of Vision Pro controllers they'll be coming out with or something. Something that shows that they'll be switching their attention to gaming with the Vision Pro. The Vision Pro could be a MONSTER of a gaming device if Apple would push for it. I'm mad that they haven't. I want a Vision Pro so badly...but there's just legit no reason for me to have one at this point in time. This makes me very sad.

This feels like all the reviews from people who just got it, before they realized it’s not that useful. Sure the tech is cool, it’s made of nice materials, but what do you do with it? The software that would make everyone want to buy it doesn’t exist and who wants the pay Apple 30% of their total revenue for the privilege of developing software for the Vision Pro? Pass through = my eyes work great without wearing a head set. Not needing to buy monitors = a 2K display will look much sharper than a virtual monitor projected on a slightly higher display an inch from my eyes and for the money I could buy at least one very nice monitor if not two for the price. Persona = what’s wrong with a web cam? External display = the person who paid for the device never gets to see it. “Until we finally get to see like a full suite of apps” Without applications the device is pointless. Anyone who develops the app that makes the Vision Pro “a must have” with lose thirty percent to Apple for the privilege of saving the Vision Pro. That’s too high of a risk for any company to fund development for the Vision Pro. Apple will forget the fanboys who pay crazy prices for their new devices and computers. Look at how fast Apple forgot about all the people who bought modular Mac Pros that never got any additional modules. Apple will not care you spent $6600 CAD on a headset they didn’t make any useful software for. What are people expected to do with a cut down Vision Pro when there is very little the premium version can do?
