No that wasn't it I believe it's a battery problem... How did you remove the battery off the internal case and and where did you get the replacement case for the battery? And do I need to remove the old battery to attach the new one as you've showed?
The 2032 is pretty standard unlike the 2325, I believe I had this one left over from an earlier amazon purchase. Good luck, my module has been working great!
I'm not a rocket surgeon so this might be obvious answer. But the Alesis D4 uses the soldered cr2032 (the battery is soldered to the board and need to be desoldered to be replace). This mod would work as well for that too right? So you don't have to constantly resolder new batteries in?
Well that makes two of us, yeah same deal and yes - the battery is spot welded to the battery holder which is soldered to the board. The holder terminals with some care will peel away from the battery allowing wires to be soldered back to the holder. watch for the polarity -
I just recently received AD5 from a friend of mine that had his in Is his rack unused for about over 5 years I have AD4 and he thought maybe I can use the D5... I want to hook up the device to my zendrum , but I can't program the D5 because The digital readouts won't stay still they keep going just keep going to another number before I can program to the individual pads... Does this sound like it could be with yours voice experiencing with a battery? Waiting to hear from you
I would double check the buttons that allow you to scroll through the parameters. You should be able to push the keys with a smooth return back out. If a key is sticking it could cause this. It’s not a battery issue...

I wonder if you could just add a dual AAA battery holder also. After all it's also 3V
I opened my cheap drum module. I can't find a battery. The memory wipes every time I turn off.

Where did you get the battery holder with the pigtails?f Thanks.
I desoldered the battery holder from an old pc board and made the pig tails. Zero cost!
@@GregCarrillo I have some old fried boards. I will have to see if I can do the same. Thanks for the response.
Good Luck!
Do I have to solder or can I just simply replace?
You will need to solder as the original battery is spot welded to the battery holder.
