As soon as I read the Farseer Hero Talent tree, I added UL into my S04 rotation and it's simply awesome!
I first replaced PW with UL (15s CD instead of 35s with PW - works almost as well as a free riptide) that buffs HR significantly, the passive dmg that it provides is awesome. At the start of a pack, I drop HST, spend UL (even if it overheal just for the proc) to buff my HR (which I cast instantly with a NS macro) and then proceed to triage with HS or CH when needed.
It's great throughput, it's been paying off in my M+ range (I'm entering +12 now) zero mana issues as well.
Let's see what TWW stores for Shamans, it's looking good I'd say (despite not having a Raid buff).
Big cheers mate! TBH I was thinking to try UL build in S4 M+ but this season is so dead that I'm barely playing keys so it ended up just being an idea - glad you gave it a shot.
Shaman is looking ok so far but keep in mind that all the other classes are getting stuff too so it's early to say how it's going to compare. At least gameplay wise it seems to deliver
Someone suggested totemic might turn ancestral vigor into a raid buff by throwing out so many chain heals, it might maintain a near constant uptime. Probably a stretch but sounds interesting
Isn't it based around the chain heal consuming Riptide for 30% boost (with unleash life) since you have bazillion riptides anyway? Seems like a good synergy, even for 5 man, doesn't it? Spam Riptides to proc Ancestors and consume them for boosted chain heal to spam them and gamble even more? Also, wait, so Ancestors don't cast Lightning Bolts / Chain Lightning when you do? By the tooltip I assumed they are and they help both with healing and damage? Is the dmg part only for Ele shamans?
They do damage! I didn't have meters for this video and somehow I convinced myself that they are not casting chain lightnings but at the end of the day they do!
And yes, you are correct - smashing CHs with ancestors procs is quite OP which is why I liked the gameplay style a lot. It's pretty good in dungeons too but even there having 3 stacks of riptides is a lot and feel like a waste quite often.

Wait a minute... The ancestor does whatever you do(to a degree), so theyll never be wasted. If youre doing a damage move, they will as well. So if theres no one to heal and you decide to cast lava burst for example, the ancestor will do the same.
I didn't have working damage meters in those runs but they didn't seem to do damage. It could be that I'm wrong though and now that I have them working and M+ is open for testing, I'll give it another spin!

It's early days and changes / tuning are yet to happen. Besides we are testing in heroic dungeons right now which is a bit dumb as everything dies quickly and there's not much to heal so we'll know more once we get closer to release.
I will say though that I played both MW hero talent trees today and they both feel good so as of right now I'd say that monk is not going to be a bad choice. I'll probably have some videos about it next week as I'm out for the weekend celebrating kid's bday :)

How did you get vuhdo to work on beta?
I didn't - everything is default Blizz UI, I don't even have WAs for these runs. You should be able to use addons though - worst case scenarios, you'll have to manually put them into the respective folder wherever you installed the beta
3rd Rip and LvB is too much for both Ele and Resto. Instead that talent can reduce the cd of both by 3 seconds. It's not like you can skip echo on both ele and resto as the talent tree would stop working anyway.
Yeah, I'd like to know what were they thinking when implementing this talent. Very curious what's the explanation for needing 3 stacks :)
If the ancestor triggered mana spring I might be interested but so far totemic seems more to my style
Hm, that's a nice suggestion but they will probably not implement it. I used to be Totemic fan too but the totem is not placing the healing rains correctly right now half of the time so unless that is fixed.... I have a video talking about that as well!

Why play farseer in dungeons when totemic is just 1000% better for dungeons? Farseer so far looks promising for PVP though, not for PVE unfortunately.
We have to check and test all the options! With the most recent changes Totemic is definitely ahead now, no doubt about that but we'll see how the class rework affects everything next week :)
Thanks for the comment, I don't PVP so insights like that help understand some of these tree decisions that otherwise sound absurd to me
To have 3 riptides seems good because you can pretty much riptide when you want to...min maxers will say its weird its a waste...I say its freedom. Lava burst...well I don;t give a shit that is the thing I like least about WoW in the last while and especially moving forward is the idea that as healers we should give a flying F about DPS...NO, no.
Hm, I feel like I can riptide whenever I want with 2 charges as well (3 considering PWave) so having an extra one feels like too much but may be that's just me!
As for the DPS part, the ancestors do dps but I didn't have the chance to test them with working damage meters before they took M+ off the beta so now waiting for them to put it back on so I can give it a shot. It seems that healer DPS is going to be irrelevant in TWW, it's not going to be a requirement but having the option to go in that direction if you want to should be there at least imo!
@@thelegendbehindthecow I totally agree, especially factoring in PWave. If their focus is to get players getting more out of riptide, I would really like to see Blizzard maybe focus on some interactions with the actual HOT instead of charges, "casting riptide extends the duration of all active riptides for 0.5-1sec" or something along those lines

I was not a fan of the gameplay, I felt like too many buttons to press before doing any healing. If healing rain was instant like the totemic talent, it would not be so bad.
Yeah, I agree that this is adding extra button to M+ which is something that they were supposedly not going to do. I'm used to playing with Unleash Life from raid so it doesn't feel that awkward for me and so far it feels nice once you get used to it but I'd definitely like to see a bit less buttons as well
I’m sure they’ll clear that up when they get around to rework the class.
I feel this is a M+ hero tree while totemic will be easier to use in raids because there isn’t a lot of movement going on. The totem still has a range limit.
@@stevenrussell8917 The question is when are they going to rework the class! I see a lot of requests like that on the forums but there's no feedback from Blizz so probably not happening for TWW launch.
Totemic is cool, video coming up for it later today but the totem's decision making is questionable and that could be a huge deal breaker.

Shaman does notoriously have button bloat. It's pretty well known.
