The problem with Lone Trail was that it was painfully congested, in terms of storytelling, and a great deal of it was overly convoluted. It actually broke the game's record for word count on a given event or main story chapter. It had half as many story stages as Episode 8: Roaring Flare, which previously held the record. In short: too much happening, too little explanation. And its connection to Arknights: Endfield turned out to be tenuous at best.
Don't read it like you waiting for your friend, spamming "it's so long" in your head. I don't read the story because i like to read, i read because i want to know the story. Just like how i cook not because i like to cook but because i want to eat, but doesn't matter how top quality the ingredients are if im bad at cooking it the food still gonna taste not very good. It's Rhine Lab event not Endfield Industry event. It's a story for a live service game anyways and Arknights story give you a story for you to discuss, question, theorizing about it and later they will give you the answers that leads to another question, especially when Lone Trail is Intermezzi which has some connections to main story, the story will not end here. Don't be too obsessed with word count or longer than this and that, come with different mindset. in short : Seems like "you" problem tbh 🤷
I accidentally canceled my comment instead of posting it lol! So I'ma do a shorter one than what I had. I hope you're enjoying the holidays! There are roughly 300 characters, you can only pull 3~6 star units from banners, 1 & 2 star units can only be obtained through Recruitment, along with some exclusive characters in there. All the 1star units are also robots with the unique feature of not eating a deployment count in gameplay. Most players probably only play with a handful of characters, either their favorites or strongest, while others play niches of race, class or factions, or do 'lore accurate' runs and such. The Monster Hunter collab was amazing as a fan of those games. Being able to actually cut off Rathalos' stupid tail was great and our 2star couple got alters that sized them up with plenty of the best units we have in the game. It's always nice seeing our starter units get love like that. The Lone Trail event was also spectacular, it is indeed themed around breaking out into space. We better get an Ifrit alter one day too with how much she's grown over the story's timeline, love the Rhine Lab characters, was really left feeling all sorts of things by the end of that event. I'm gonna go farm on Arknights now so I can jam to the Holy Church House Music we got going on during this event. 🎶
