I’m an Alabama fan and we are definitely not looking like a playoff team right now. Hopefully that changes but things are looking very questionable right now. Really disappointing to see their lack of response from the historic Vanderbilt loss.

South Carolina is a good ball team no matter what the media says. They’ve got a great defense and a young somewhat inconsistent quarterback who take strides week to week. SC is a trap game for anyone, I’d take the close game Vs SC with a grain of salt. They’ve got a ball team
Alabama is going to make the CFP, but the real issue is Jalen Milroe. QBs like him don't work. He's a horrendous passer, and it was embarrassing having to hear Joe Tessitore talk him up after he threw a TD pass to a receiver who didn't have anyone within 20 yards of him toward the end of the game. Did you forget that he was Alabama's biggest problem against Michigan in the Rose Bowl?

Yeah the coaches don't make adjustments at halftime. The defense has looked lost all season!
I can appreciate the greatness of Nick Saban even more so now that he's gone. I admire Kalen DeBoer’s guts for taking on a no win job in trying to succeed a legend. Most of the time you can never immediately follow a legendary coach. It has to be a few coaches removed from that legendary coach's tenure before you'll be given a fighting chance from the fan base.
Saban illegally paid players. He bailed when the nil came out.
Tennessee isn't looking like a playoff team either. Nico is getting worse each week, and the OL is a train wreck.
DeBoer and the staff are responsible for getting the team ready to play. The players look like they don't even want to be on the field.

I really think this is Just DeBoer's style and strategy for what he has in terms of talent. If you look at his last season with Washington, every game except two, maybe three, were a one possession win. And this season seems very reminiscent of that. He seems very focused on putting forth just enough effort in preparing for each game, which is drastically different from the standard Saban set. Hence the recent one possession games.
Nah man. DeBoer is almost as good as you can get in the sport. There is more parity now thanks to NIL and Saban is one of a kind. Bama is fine it is just a new reality no one will dominate for a decade anymore

This is Coach Debora’s first year. There are going to be growing pains this year. He is working with a new coaching staff & new players. He is not Nick Saban. I think overall the SEC teams have gotten better. All the SEC teams are struggling!

Bama has exactly 2 problems. The first, lack of discipline and hence the penalties in critical situations, can be corrected. The second is that each of the last three teams have been able to move the ball at will against Bama with sustained drives. That is not correctable, they're just not very good or the DC is awful or both. And yeah, I know about the Georgia game but the Bulldogs had the heebie jeebies for some reason in the first half. Once they got their act together it was pretty easy for them to move the ball.

Gator alumnus here. The game has changed. It Alabama can run the table, they’ll make the playoffs. Florida, as frustrating as they have been, are an example of a good team that is going to upset at least one of the big teams coming up.
I am also an Alabama fan from the west coast but Only because of Nick Saban. As a former professional Athlete, then Coach and Scout, I really appreciate Stern Discipline and accountability like Coach Saban had which is why I became a big fan of the Tide the last dozen years. I wasn’t a fan of Bama when Coach Bryant was there, a USC fan back then, but stating to lose that excitement with this new coach and these lackluster players. Really Sad to see because their Fan Base is Incredible. They have really Regressed and these players don’t look like stars at all
I can't see a 3 loss team in the playoffs. If you have 2 SEC losses I doubt you get in the SEC championship. If that's true I think there are too many teams in the SEC that will have better records in front of a 2 loss team. Alabama-Tennessee is probably an elimination game.
I am a long time Bama fan and alumnae. Based on the dynamics of this Bama team, 4 losses could easily happen.

Things don't need cleaning up. I don't even know what that means. Less penalties? What needs to happen is for their to be a DC that actually knows what he's doing and can utilize the talent given him. The defensive playcalling is terrible.
speaking of AL D, it's uncanny that sometimes you have linebackers in the Middle of the defense standing around waiting 2-3 yards deep off the line of scrimmage during a play and sometimes there is NOBODY 5-6 yards off the line of scrimmage after the play has started. It is fortunate that TN looks to be evenly matched with AL now, as the tide heads into Neyland. I am betting it will look like a track meet, which might favor AL. but who knows, TN looks to be able to run the ball. AL schedule is not super SEC tough or is it?
The vol offense has mutated this year. That is bad news for Bama cause it's clear time of possession and murder ball is the blueprint for success against the tide.

Of course not. This Bama team is bad. No playmakers on defense... at all. Not one star player. The goal for this team is to be bowl eligible, and Deboer has to bring in more talent on defense... a lot more, for next year. Next year he has to prove it.

AP will move them up anyway. CFP makes the rankings. AP just wants the headlines for Alabama @ Tennessee. and both of them aren’t top 10. Tennessee fans hyped up Nico all offseason and he needs more reps, another version of Joe Milton. they got spoiled with Hendon Hooker when he’s better than Nico Iamaleava.
They will lose 3-4 more games.

As it stands right now Texas and Texas A&M are in the playoff runnings seeing as they are ranked the top two out of their conference. Not only that but if Texas beats Georgia this coming weekend and A&M seals LSU fate, and they keep their heads up on the none ranked SEC opponents until they meet at the end of the season then at that time they both will be the only teams in the SEC with no losses to conference contenders.
Mark my words though whoever loses the Texas v A&M game you better believe that they will knock that team out of being in the playoffs for another team that doesnt deserve it

Penn State had the most impressive win of the weekend. Drew Allar showed a lot of courage engineering that comeback. Oregon's win felt like they were hanging on for dear life. Lanning was terrified to even consider punching it in from the 1. Ohio St beat themselves.

As for Georgia they beat Kentucky 13-12, struggled big time yesterday (until the 4th quarter) against a 1-5 Miss State, and lost against Alabama.

The players lost interest in the game just as the fans did. It's not a harbinger of things to come.....and i'm sure by Tuesday the entire focus will be altered by Kirby.
