My 6 year old just brought home a toad I personally have no experience with toads I have 6 aquariums & 4 snake tanks..... so this video REALLY helped!!! Thanks bud!!!!😊😊😊
This is hands down the most underrated toad setup video EVER That home depot edit came on and I was like "welp I'm subscribing" Very helpful and informative by the way! This gave me more info than any other video like this I've watched 😁
thank you! I found a toad by my basement door in a spot impossible to jump/climb out of. it was very dehydrated and i just grabbed a plastic tank from the store along with a hissing cockroach. you confirmed going plastic was the right idea.
quick question, how often should i mist my toads enclosure? is it something i should do every day or just every now and then? i can’t find any videos addressing it
A good rule to go by in my opinion is to keep the substrate as moist as possible but not too wet to where it starts to drip when you pick it up and give it a squeeze. In the enclosure I made in the video I only had to mist it once or twice a week, but if you set up for example a glass tank with a screen lid you might have to mist it multiple times a day. It really depends on how much ventilation you're getting
@@kiwiherps8645 my enclosure is a plastic tub with drilled holes in the top, i’ve got about 4-5 inches of substrate it seems to hold the moisture well, should twice a week be ok? she has constant access to fresh water but i’m always worried about her drying out haha
@@outgreygouscob6544 That sounds like a good place to start, and just keep an eye on how damp it is when you are about to mist it and if it's dripping wet then you know you can wait a little longer, but if it's dry then you can remember to mist it sooner next time
I assume they can live there but I'm not sure since I don't know much about them, and I would start by replacing the substrate about every month but if it ends up getting too dirty before then then start replacing it more often. If you have springtails or something to clean up after the toad then you shouldn't have to clean as often. Hope this helps
The editing in this is 👌💯
Thaaannkkss! I'm still new to editing so I'm glad you liked it :D

Nice video, it's very helpfull.
Greetings from Argentina. :)
wait so i got 2 toads so like how big should the enclosure be?
15 gallons
Sorry I'm insanely late but you should aim for a minimum of about two square feet and add another foot on for every extra toad
Are you going to post an update

i might get an oak toad, can an oaktoad live in there? if so how often do you have to replace everything and clean the tank?

Does this also go for a true toad I have one of those
I would assume so but I'm not sure since I don't know much about them
@@kiwiherps8645 k thank you
Same for me nice video
Tube You 😆🤦🏼♀️
They are not fake moss it is actually dry moss your supposed to wet to make the enclosure more humid so those zoomed ones are real moss
Yeah the image was a bad example I didn't realize at the time that was also real moss just dried up
@@kiwiherps8645 yeah it sometimes happens with cameras. But that’s a nice toad bin setup.
I got 2 toads at my house

You copy the same exact thing as snake discovery
just so you know toads do not absorb things through their skin
