Should you not have kept the magpie you drew at 20:50 ? Then you could have played magpie + hobby with the food you had, and would have had an extra turn to draw or lay eggs. Nice game anyways :)
Definitely could have been an option! I think in my mind I was already planning on playing the crane, it felt like the best move even before the calculation. But magpie was definitely better than the hooded crow route.
Good vid, well played. I don't think you had to lay eggs in r1, just take tern and tuck cowbird, feels like that cost you so many points in the long term.
Yeah not having the second wetland bird for a while was painful. Tern is obviously not the ideal bird, but it’s definitely better to settle for that rather than run with nothing
