I managed to go into free fall [in the sky] in one of the Japan level's skybox (the level that took place in the massive dojo place). It was when I tried to spire jump onto the one 'chandelier frame' thing whilst it was lopsided.
This might be a strange question, but do you take bathroom breaks during your stream? Do you just pause the game and get up or do you just power through like the absolute mad lad you are? Edit: never mind I just got to the Raleigh fight and you said.
For Sly 3, Norwegian is the 2nd faster overall, while Dutch is 1st. However, Norwegian is faster in eps 3 and 4 to such an extent that it's worth taking the time in the speedrun to change the dub for those episodes, then change it back to Dutch once we enter ep 5.
If you play the Japanese version of Sly 1, all the FMV's are in that anime-ish style. They just included one of the FMV's from the Japanese version. Also, have you ever considered doing all the Sly games in one sitting?

Well if you wish to do an RTA (real-time attack) speedrun (which has basically become the modern standard), then no. If you take any breaks, the timer should still be running during that break. If you're doing a TA (time attack) speedrun then you're allowed to do as many breaks as you'd like (?), but in this day and age, speedruns are pretty much synonymous with the RTA definition.
I use original DS2 (for ps2) and DS3 (for ps3) controllers. I bought both my PS2 and PS3 used online and they both came with a controller in good condition. I've worn out a 1 DS3 controller in 5 years, not too bad.

I record PS2 by using a capture card. My exact setup is a bit more convoluted, as I first have component cables (YPbPr) out from the PS2 into a cheap upscaler that also converts the signal to HDMI. I then split the signal using a 1x2 HDMI splitter. One of these HDMI cables goes to my capture card and the other to my monitor.
I actually don't re-render the video at all. I stream it real time to Twitch, and either highlight+export directly to UA-cam (if the video is short enough) or cut and upload the local recording to UA-cam using ffmpeg and a .bat file.
