back in my childhood, we'd have to speedrun the game cause we didn't have a memory card and the farthest we could get in sly 1 was ms ruby and with sly 2 contessa's map, I'm sure we played more than 10 hours consecutively to get there and you just beat ALL 4 games in less than a day on a single sit. Congratulations!

Does what work exactly? Pre-holding inputs ("halogen-selecting") when loading into the safehouse? It does, but if you start to hold too early it won't register. A few seconds before it loads in should be fine
@@naharda3813 Hard to say at what point exactly - at least after the load into the safehouse has started. Holding the direction going into the load is too early for sure
I wonder if people get the same experience with the other languages as we do with english, since the voices don't have the dynamic we do and instead relay on specific phrasing.
Depends on the dub tbh. Sly 1 (ps2) is known for its bad dubs (ie French) while sly 2-3 is known for good dubs (at least finnish and norwegian). The Korean sly 2 dub feels a bit like a 'street dub' so it's probably not that good - impossible to know if you don't understand Korean tho. I think the Sly 4 dub is considered okay in most languages

Also, there is no other language for me in regards to Sly, than Norwegian. *(Not just because Murray's voice is better, Bentley sounds more normal, and Carmelita's voice stays the same for 2 and 3!)* I prefer Sly 3 though as my favorite, for it being the game i played the most, and also roleplayed for myself the most. I believe the main theory is that they spawn in the keys (coordinates 0,0,0) then move them around after. However, since episode 8 is not as polished as the others they must've forgot to here. In no other sections of the game are the keys stored at 0,0,0.
I hop between the games to switch it up, make sure I don't go too hard on one game. It's also important to take breaks. I stream my runs which also helps a lot
