AMR occurs when bacteria, viruses, fungi and parasites change over time and no longer respond to medicines. This makes infections harder to treat and increases the risk of disease spreading, severe illness and death. Antimicrobial medicines are used to prevent and treat infections.

4:27 I had a similar kind of incidence when I was 10 literally because the doctor in emergency ward of TEACHING HOSPITAL (maybe she was an intern or a trainee) gave a 10 yr old kid 500mg dose of an antibiotic (amoxycilin) and told to use it for 3 times a day then I had toxicity (overdose), the doctor in other hospital told my parents that I may've died if they hadn't took me to hospital that soon😶 Well my mom knew the story you told and she was like "dhanna meri xori bachixey", now everybody in my house is scared of using medicines

But amoxicillin is one of the low level of antibiotic
You may have infection which was resistant to this drug
And in that case your next doctor gave you even stronger and you got better

There is no need to be afraid of medicine
Instead follow instructions of your doctor and take medicine as per prescribed and if you dont get better visit doctor for re consultation they will upgrade your meds 😊

@@sparkle331 maximum dose amoxicillin for adult is 12g per day
And for children its 4g per day
If you have drug allergy make sure to inform your doctor before any consultation

Acnetrate (isotretionin) is not antibiotic
Minocin (minocycline ) has risk of DRESS (drug reaction with eosinophilia and systemic symptoms) which is a delayed and rare side effect it cannot be tested before starting the medicine
