- Hey all!
I know, I know I always say it's been a busy week lol! We had two broken poles today 😟... The first one, a garbage truck went over an embankment and right through a pole! Too many environmental and work safe guys to gather any footage on that one :/.
Anyhow, another late night!
Be safe all!

Hydrovac is like a combination of a septic tank pumping truck and a pressure washer 😊
We have a couple in our city, I had to go look up what they were when I first spotted one awhile back.
Thanks for your Efforts with Restoring Service in these Horrible Conditions you Work in. Please continue to take your Regular Precautions and stay Safe. Thx!
We got about 50cm at my place in Halifax, but Cape Breton got hammered!
Thanks Aaron for all you and your team mates do. Be safe!
Thanks for taking the time to share these when you are so busy!
It's not even cold here and I can feel the chills through the screen. Stay safe out there dude!
Thank you for taking time to make these videos and for the work you do. The weather can really make things a mess. Tornadoes and high winds around here tonight, so our linemen will be busy as well. Please stay safe, and God bless.
great watching you guys work in those icy conditions. its wind and wet uk about 3 degrees. always interesting watching how you do same things differently.
Hydro-vac instead of hand digging a pole hole? I might make a suggestion here for the same thing here? Thanks Aaron!
You got way more snow than we have.
Yesterday it was in the 30's. Today it was near 50 degrees F. Today felt like a gorgeous spring day?
Keep the electrons flowing & the meters turning. 👍👍👊🏻👊🏻
When the first 2 or 3 ft of ground is frozen hand digging efforts are ineffective. Because it is winter and the ground is frozen the htdrovac water will be heated. Chipping at frozen ground is an experience everyone should try just to know how hard the frozen ground is.
love the unedited videos keep them coming
Good evening brother!!!! It’s good to know that winter is still happening somewhere. Our winter lasted close to a month. Hit 55f today. Suns out guns out in February. Wild
Be safe brother
Best wishes to you and everyone working through this situation. 🙏 Heard about the snow on social media and immediately thought about how busy you were gonna be for quite a while.
Cape Brenton, that's where Natalie McMaster is from! If you enjoy quality music, you should check her out. One of my favorite musicians!
Be safe👍
Stay safe!
thumbs uP
Looks like that was a light pole that was hit?
👍👊‼️
Tailings from a local mine, or tailings from the hole you dug with the hydrovac?
Had the tailings brought in. We always keep a few ton on hand at the office, from a local rock quarry.
Sir How to Apply in your Campany as a Lineman Light&Preventive Maintenance. Im 3 years Experience in a Line Maintenance
What is a huff? In the Navy a huff is used to start jets on the flight deck.
Hough its a slang term for a wheel loader, they used to be a big company in the market, think Kleenex
How
Just curious, how do you ground in the winter with the ground being frozen?
"...how do you ground in the winter with the ground being frozen?"
Frozen dirt will conduct, a little. It isn't like warm dirt is a great conductor. Wet and salty dirt conducts pretty OK. Power systems do not "need" a connection to ground to work, but it improves safety. The other thing in utility work is that you (try to) have a ground on almost every pole and most houses, all bonded together.
