Already old Parktown MRTS station was so far away from Park station and Central Metro. Now this new MRTS station is even far away. The connectivity will be even poorer. This is really sad.😡😡😡

Thanks for this update. I don't think so this line will be completed before August. Still, track laying and land dwelling and other activities are going on. This might take two-three months extra for the completion.

The challenge seems to be RBI refusing to allocate the required land. Hence, any target date is just ambitious, sadly.
No they sloved that issue by realignment of existing track suburban track 1 and 2 ,if we realign it will give space to one more track and rbi is inthe turn so that problem solved . Mostly by November they will open after getting approval from Southern railways.

@@satheeshk5313 yeah they are planning like that but not confirmed yet , but still it would be one station difference so won't be much of an issue . But realignment work between 3rd and 4rd line is done means easily they can fit track space for that 60 to 100 m, reason is that strech is a curved line so extra space between track will be done . We have to wait and see what they are planning to do.

One doubt! Has RBI agreed to give land for MRTS line, I heard there are space constraints for MRTS lines near RBI for 100m
No RBI not cleared that 100 min portion video itself shows space constraints - so SR planed with track sharing with Express line & mrts up line only that portion

The pace at which the work is going does not give hope that by August the lines will be ready. And it's going to be a single line for up and down trains on MRTS route between Fort and Beach.
Purpose of this line will be helpful to Chennai commuters only if connected to metro line and MRTS and Parrys corner local bus terminus.
