    You just saved me over 100 usd. One of my acquaintances working in Ford told me this kind of key cannot have a battery changed and I need a new key.

    Very tight assembly but watching you proves it can be opened without it breaking , 1p coin ideal , looked at it for weeks not knowing where the second opening was , you made it so clear .
    Thanks so much

    Great instructional video. Followed your lead and all done in 5 minutes. Upon doing a check on the car all the doors were unlocked and all the door windows were down. Is this normal?

    • @TheCarKeyMan
      @TheCarKeyMan  Рік тому +1

      Hi, thanks for the feedback. There is a feature with your car that means if you press and hold the unlock button, all the windows lower. Likewise, if you press and hold the lock, they all rise. Maybe you did this at some point? Is it working ok now?

      They should also last longer. According to one article the capacity is 235mAh for 2032 vs 170mAh for 2025. However I was not able to close the control with two 2032. I mixed the 2032 with 2025, not ideal but that’s what I had home as emergency replacement.

    Good day, is it possible that if I have a weak battery in the key, it does not communicate with my car, and then the car's immobilizer stops?

    • @TheCarKeyMan
      @TheCarKeyMan  3 роки тому +1

      Hello Martin, yes is the battery goes flat in the key then the car will not detect the key. Have you tried the emergency start?

      @@TheCarKeyMan I didn't even try and I didn't know it. Now I started putting the key in the compartment in the local armrests, where there is a place for you, and so far I'm fine. I'm curious about the right path 🤷🏻‍♂️.

    Does the key need to be reprogrammed or will it connect to the car automatically after changing batteries?

    Have you heard anything about you have to change the battery in a certain amount of time otherwise the car would not start or is that a myth ?
