    People complain how they are only for the rich, and that it doesn’t support equality.
    Of course it doesn’t, let the people who worked hard to earn that money, spend that money.

    They need to be building large buildings similar to these, but alternatively they should be small low end affordable rentals that would appeal to the masses. Despite not being able to prove this, I would argue that this would bring in more taxes not only from the real estate, but since more people would be pleased, they would perform better at their jobs which also benefits the economy due to taxes. However, I am not a budget analyst so I cant and wont confirm that this would benefit New York, I am only speculating with my severely limited knowledge. It should also be noted that my brain is not fully developed due to being a teen. Anyway point is, the city government should be considering other options for new housing real estate opportunities.

    • @megaswenson
      @megaswenson 6 років тому

      Ben Weber, you'll be pleased to know that the city government IS considering other options for new housing (actually BUILDING them, too...). Supertalls like this, though, are only practical for the sorts to whom they're marketed. Outside their narrow context, they wouldn't really make much sense.

    A studio cost a Million USD in Brooklyn these days. NYC Real Estate always doubles every 10-15 years. There's a lot of Ultra High paying jobs here, and people don't want to commute to the suburbs anymore, also the crime rate has almost disappeared in the City, so I don't see this crashing anytime soon.

      Adam Cortright see in the old days we could have revolted and overthrew those in "power" with the people's decision but now with the advancing weapons capability you can have 13 people kill millions of unarmed citizens or even armed groups with some warheads. imagine you're on a plane and a terriort takes out an ak 47 with a drum mag, you can try to rush him with numbers but there's no chance of you actually overpowering him with not. God bless flight marshals.

      I thought of that, but the problem is workers control everything. They control the grid, they control air traffic, communications, commodity production....workers are even members of the military. Clearly, if the workers are going to take power, they are going to have to be organized, and they are going to have to use the resources at their disposal (which is everything).

  • @soul-jah580
    @soul-jah580 6 років тому +1

    In my opinion, averages aren't always a good market indicator as it doesn't take too many high-priced values, in this case for condos, to make the market appear more expensive than it actually is. I think a better indicator of market value would be the median.

    I'd prefer a townhouse, but with a garage. And their floor plans are usually really odd and outdated, so I'd make some changes there to. Or buy three side-by-side townhouses, raze them, and build a mega mansion townhouse. My own single-family private resort in the middle of Manhattan.

      It's public record, let's take NYPD for example. Their 5 1/2 year salary package is at $90,829. But since so many work a lot of overtime with differentials, many make closer to $150k. About 10% make above $200k. Now factor in a household (Say, a cop and nurse), and the household income is even greater.

    The word Condo seems like a ripoff. It's an overpriced apartment with a fancy name. They give you the ruse that you own the Condo, but it's not really. It's all attached to the building anyways. Which whoever owns that is the true owner.

    It is nice in rural Upstate New York if you are a tourist with lots of money to spend at the tourist sites in the country/rural geographic areas. the people are nice. It is a poverty-stricken geographic area. Some people don't have electricity because Social Services doesn't help them in the ways that they should. Some people don't have septic tanks in rural Upstate New York and Social Services doesn't help them in the ways that they should or could. Social Services in rural Upstate New York only help who they want and when they want. Rural Upstate New York would be a better place to live IF New York City took over and ran its courts and police departments and Social Services. If rural Upstate New York did stuff similar to the ways that New York City does, then rural Upstate New York would financially have a lot more. If they did stuff similar to the ways that Blacks and Hispanics do then everyone would have more. More financial aid from the Federal government is needed in rural Upstate New York and also in New York City. The Federal government has to give more financial aid to all citizens in the United States and Puerto Rico.
    It is sad to live in rural geographic areas because they don't do that much economic development or community revitalization. They don't make it easy for me to stay living here where I live and that is frustrating. I don't have that much family which I already sent you emails and information about. If they made things easier for me then maybe I might enjoy living here where I live but that is not what they seem to have in mind for me. I can barely afford to live here where I live. My sadness is from the poverty that I live in. In New York City I would be living in poverty too but there is a different mindset and different ways of thinking in New York City.
    The large corporation that put the trailer park here in rural Upstate New York means well but the way that they do stuff in rural Upstate New York causes poverty and there are lots of empty lots and empty trailers in the trailer parks in the rural Upstate New York geographic areas because the local small towns don't like larger corporations. Almost everyone has to have SSI which is Supplemental Secuirty Income from the Social Security Administration and public assistance to pay rent and buy food and pay for transportation.
    I am only one person and I appreciate the JoLo email with the lighter and happier things. I can the sadness on Jennifer Lopez's face. I can see the sadness on Ben Affleck's face. It is challenging to be divorced. It is challenging to have children. It can be stressful to have children from two different spouses together. I pray for Ben and Jen and their kids.
    I am only one person and I would gladly move to be with a group of people with who I could live together or work together. Or live in a large one-room studio apartment and go to a place to work for very little pay in a larger city. I would do something similar to what Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck are doing if I could.
    I would go to the gym almost every day if I could. I would go swimming almost every day if I could. A would find people who I could do group events with such as book clubs and more fun activities. Maybe find an interdenominational church to go to. Licensed Social Workers who provide counseling are also in New York City too.
    It is okay to documentary films about the Holocaust and Child Brides and stuff from World War 2. But I don't want to sit around here in this trailer park for the rest of my life. A lot of people ask about my prior background and I have sent information so they can verify information about my prior background. I don't mind looking back at the past and how the past impacts why we are the way we are today in the month of April 2023. The past is why things are the ways that they are now in the year 2023. But I would also like to move forward in my life and I don't see that happening yet. To me, it seems like stagnation.
    I don't like living way up here in rural Upstate New York because it is like living in the bible belt and they pray to a dead man whose name is Jesus. Jesus was murdered. Jesus did not choose to die. So they pray to a dead man whose name is Jesus because why? They pray to a dead man that was murdered because why? It is okay to pray to Jesus. I am not making fun of people who pray to Jesus. People have different religions. Thumping bibles.
    I lived in New York City from 1994 to 2006 and would gladly move back to New York City and stay in New York City for the rest of my life if I could. A one-room studio apartment in New York City sounds excellent to me. Why a one-room studio apartment? Because it is very expensive to live in New York City so a one-room studio apartment for a single person because I don't have that much family. I don't have children. I won't have grandchildren because I didn't have children. Unless miracles happen. Praying for God's amazing grace miracles. Maybe I could travel to Italy too if I lived in New York City. I like Italy too. I like Europe and European things.

    Sorry to busy killjoy hear but with so much poverty and starvation in the world, this is an absolutely disgusting display of greed and wealth, and quite frankly I don’t believe anyone person should be able to have that much, not as long as there’s people starving to death on your streets, and on the streets around the world. I’ve always said that I live in a society I will never understand, because while I like nice things as much as the next person, I also care deeply about my fellow citizens of the world. It just tears me apart to see people with absolutely nothing, or people in the low to middle class, who barely survive paycheque to paycheque, because the top 1% is walking all over the backs of the poor and benefitting from them by taking every last cent from them they can. Frankly it just disgusts me, and if anybody has a conscience it should disgust you as well. Nobody is better than anybody else, we are all the same, geography should never dictate one’s social class, every human being on this planet deserves the right to all the same freedoms we enjoy here in North America, but the wealthy elite‘s will never allow that to happen because of their greed, and they’re absolutely evil contempt for humanity. We will never evolve as a species, until that top 1% is knocked right off their podium, and all the money they horde is distributed evenly throughout the world, which would easily eliminate hunger and poverty across the entire planet, yes, it is just that easy, but sadly it will never happen, not as long is the top 1% remains.

Money doesn’t define a person it’s just a tool, give a good person money and they will do good things, same goes for a bad person.
