Chance isn't in this video, the one you thought was Chance is Austin (high Tenor). Chance replaced Chris Rupp (the one in the cowboy hat).
That was Austin. Chance hadn't joined the group yet. Chance replaced Chris Rupp; who is Adam Rupp, the beatboxer's brother. The brothers actually founded the group as teenagers with three completely different people. In fact, the band is named after the boat of the grandfather of Matt Atwood, who is the original lead singer and childhood friend of the Rupps.
Okies, so here's the run down of who they are. The blonde on the left is Adam Rupp and he's the beatboxer. Next to him, the beautiful redhead, is high tenor Austin Brown. He's my personal fave if you couldn't tell. In the middle is lead tenor and cuddly teddy bear Rob Lundquist with the manly beard and glasses. Then seated is Austin's hair role model and bass extraordinaire Tim Foust. The man has a 5 1/2 octave vocal range. There's only 8 octaves on a piano keyboard if that puts things in perspective. Last, but by no means least, is founding member and baritone Chris Rupp. He was replaced by Adam Chance in 2016 so all newer videos will include Chance, not Chris.

This video is from a while ago, so you've probably figured it out by now, but the guy on the bottom left, the high tenor, is Austin Brown. To his right is the bass, Tim Foust. On the back right is Chris Rupp, he's no longer in Home Free. In the middle back is Rob Lundquist, and the left back is Adam Rupp. Adam and Chris are brothers and they started Home Free in college. Adam Chance replaced Chris Rupp in the group.
The chicken at the end is the stealthy chicken. He is visible in a lot of old Home Free videos (pretty much all of the ones released before May 2016 when Chris left)
I have found the rooster in 9 to 5, Alabama Sampler, All about the Bass, Butts Remix, Fishin' in the Dark-Boondocks, Friends in Low Places, House Party, Seven Bridges Road, and Wagon Wheel. Good luck finding it!!

The guy with the cowboy-hat is Chris Rupp, the brother of beatboxer Adam. They started the band in 2000 together with a friend. Chance replaced Chris after May 2016...
Chris went solo and started another band (7th Ave), this time with his sister.

I’ve probably seen this video at least 50 times and it still is so much fun to watch. Thanks for a great reaction. These guys are so talented, you’re right, they are entertainers. Their live concerts are a blast.
If you happen to watch this again, it's fun to watch the guys in the back (Rob and Chris) when they are singing backup -- being silly and so funny. This is a favorite that always surprises.
Just so you know, back row (l to r): Adam, Rob, Chris, Front row: sitting (l to r) Austin and Tim. Chris has now left to pursue a solo career and now Adam Chance (whom the guys call Chance) is in the group!
The more you watch Home Free, the more you will like them. I've seen them in Concert, and they are just as good live!! They cover all spectrum's , from funny and deeply serious songs. The vast majority of their covers, are better than the originals, and ALL of their original songs are great!
The way they were able to meld these songs together so seemlessly was so amazing! Thank you!

Thanks for the great reaction! These 5 guys don't just sing....they are entertainers! Their live shows are so much fun! If you can't use headphones ...just get an external Bluetooth speaker you can link to your system ...that's what I use and it works great!
You should really listen to them with headphones. Tim sings some notes that you can hardly hear without headphones. Love your reaction.

Your reactions to Home Free are a blast and a delight!!! Love your enthusiasm for the group - their sound and ability. Am so so glad you like 'em!!!! I ask/request that you hold off on "Mayday" till at least you learn Home Free --- who's who and who does what. 10 to 12 older performances...... sounds like a lot I know. Mayday is very significant........ which will be completely lost if you don't know Home Free. It is a great performance ---- but we who know HF....... were blown away by it but we know them....... Please don't rob yourself (and us for that matter) of it.... You'll thank me (us) later!!!! The SingOff vids will def get you there faster........ a lot of info with 'em!!!! ok 2 things....1st look around youtube for one of Adam Rupp's beatbox drum solos, really great and 2nd.....Tim Foust their bass singer and bass guitar parts guy, does a duet with Peter Hollin's called Misty Mountains, and you'll get all kinds of that glorious bass, i'm kinda partial
Great reaction! Home Free never disappoints.
Some videos are fun and others are more serious, but they do have a sense of humor, you can see it even in their concerts and they work well together. The Beatboxer here is Adam, the cowboy hat guy is Chris (Adam's brother and he left the group in 2016 and that's when Chance came in the baritone/bass spot, you can see Chance in more recent videos) Tim is the bass guy, Austin is the high tenor, and Rob is the big bearded guy. All of them are very tall 6'1 to 6'4 and pretty and all of them can sing very well.

One great way to get to know who is who is to watch their performances on “The Sing Off “ with intros and judge comments, which are really fun as well. Just to clear up any confusion, in 2016 Chris Rupp (the guy in the hat who founded the group with his brother Adam Rupp who is the beatboxer) left the group to pursue other projects and was replaced by Adam Chance (who goes by Chance to avoid the confusion of having 2 Adams in the group).
I've been to 2 concerts and they are very funny as well as talented.

So in this video you have: back row left is Adam Rupp, beatboxer. Middle is Rob Lundquist, tenor. Right is Chris Rupp, baritone (left May 2016 replaced by Adam Chance, known as “Chance”). Front frow left is Austin Brown, high tenor. Right is Tim Foust, bass. And some advice - to pick up all that lovely bass, wear headphones or earphones. Your ears will thank you! Seriously, eargasms. Not. Even. Kidding.
Always love watching your reaction videos as you truly show your enjoyment of music. But pretty please, I implore you to use ear buds or earphones when listening to a Cappella groups! If you don't,, you will miss SO much of the layering, harmonizing, and detail that makes groups like Home Free, Pentatonix, and Voice Play special. Trust me, your ears will thank you!!!
Perhaps you didn't watch the whole video? She said she can't use headphones because she doesn't have any (due to her cat(s) ruining all the cabled ones), and that she's saving money for wireless headphones atm.

Far left is the Amazing beatboxer Adam Rupp; across the back on right is Rob who is crazy fun and Tenor; far right is the Creator of Home Free Chris Rupp (who is now solo and with 7th Ave vocal band with his sister Tristin) in front of Chris is our Amazing Freakish Bass Man Tim Foust and in front of Adam is Austin Brown their Sky High Tenor. Chance replaced Chris as Baritone and Bass (freeing up Tim to sing in his 5+octave range). 😉

So, this is before Chance joined ....this is while Chis Rupp (the founder of the group in the cowboy hat/brother of Adam the beat boxer) was still with the group. When he went off for a solo career, Chance joined the group.
That doesn't even touch on their sence of humor. They are side splitting live. Tim (bass) and Rib( tenor with beard) are know major pranksters in the group.
The one you thought was Chance is Austin, beatboxer is Adam Rupp and a founding member, Rob Lundquist, Tim Foust, and Chris Rupp( other founding member). This is an older video, Chris left to pursue other projects. That's when Adam Chance ( call him Chance), that was about 4 years ago.

From what I've heard, it's just a running joke they used to make... I hope I'm remembering this correctly... One of the members (Chris) got a lot of toy roosters from a fan and he didn't really know what to do with them, so the guys decided to start using them in their music videos, and it kind of turned into a game for their fans to try and find them. The rooster here was really obvious, but in other videos, they were really well hidden, so fans had to re-watch the videos to be able to find them. Once Chris left, it stopped being a thing.
