don't know if this is a discrepancy between US and UK releases of the T-70 and Tie FO, but the Wired EPT comes in the T-70 and Cool Hand comes in the Tie FO
It would look so cool to have three t-70s and have them fly in a formation where on does a k-turn one does talon roll to the left and the other a talon roll to the right. It might not make a good strategy but it would feel really cool to do
Me and my mom just got into this game...and we also went to an early 7pm thursday screening of this movie. Immediately after getting to her place afterwards, she grabbed her credit card and said she HAD to have Kylo's ship (she was talking about his command shuttle...the one that looks like the lambda minus the central/back wing thing lol). I was a bit sad to inform her that they didn't have it in this game yet...and it's not been announced as of now. It's probably pretty obvious that they will... But do you guys think they'll be printing more of the ships from this movie? I'd just about die for Poe's bada** orange/black t-70...and my mom's all sorts of into Kylo...so I'd love to see him in this game too. I SO want to take my Chewbacca piloted falcon and take on Kylo in an epic battle of rage and revenge!
Cool stuff! I loved the movie and the ships look so cool! I hope the Special Forces TIE will also be brought in the game. Question about the Cool Hand ept, you said you don't get the stress when you use it, but the card doesn't mention that. It just says you can assign a focus or evade. So do you take the stress or not? Another question, when on a tight budget, do you recommend these two guys over the Force Awakens starter or not?
+Geert van der Plas I believe you do still take stress as, like you said, the card does not mention that you do not receive stress and that you just get a token. It's basically a one time use free action when you wouldn't get one. For one point it's cool but deff. not the greatest.
+Joey Garcia Just enjoy things as they are currently. Practice maneuvers and focus on getting your ships in a position where they always have shots on your opponent. Learning to maneuver and put things in the right place is the key to being good at X-Wing!
Does the Targeting Astromech work with Ellis Asty's talon roll ability? It says treat his talon rolls as white maneuvers but not change. So could I do a talon roll which is a red maneuver, treat it as white, then get a free target lock from the Targeting Astromech?
+MrClixFlix It does not work! It's a binary choice - if you choose for it to be red, you take stress and get Astromech, if you choose for it to be white, you take no stress and do not get Astromech. Some discussion here: community.fantasyflightgames.com/topic/196117-ello-asty-targeting-astromech/ Great question!
It would be awesome to have a video where Zack watches this back about what he said about Rey and Luke and give his new feelings after the last jedi cane out.
Hey fellas, I don't see unboxings for the IG-2000, M3-A Interceptor, Imperial Transport, or Imperial Assault Carrier. These have been out for awhile, will they be covered? I only ask because your unboxings are the best.
+Beau Boutwell We are always looking at content that could be produced, including unboxings for the products you mention. No specific plans either way, but those videos are on our radar!
As far as Blue Novice is concerned, the beauty of that ship is that it can take integrated astromech and an r2 astromech for 25 points. It's like a far better B-wing.
With the integrated astromech can it only be applied to the (T-65) X-Wing as it is named "X-Wing" or is the T-70 also allowed though the game considers it as "T-70 X-Wing", because the TIE Advanced and the TIE Advanced Prototype seem to be considered different even though they are just different versions of the same ship. Please help
+unforseenconsequense This is a great question that we have not seen elsewhere. Not sure on the technical answer, but it is allowed on the T-70 as of an official FFG article. www.fantasyflightgames.com/en/news/2015/9/10/fight-a-bigger-battle/
Wired on zeta leader! Also, evade tokens are a modification. They "add" the the dice results, and in the rules for dice modification "adding" to the results is modifying. So Omega leader trumps, all tokens, trumps the emperor, trumps lukes ability, trumps poes ability, can trump the rear admirals ability... Toss on juke with comm relay on him, possibly stealth device! So him vs fel would be just the naked green dice.
Florian Hess I knew that I knew what the reference was, but I didn't realise until I read your comment on the T shirt. Of course, ..Akira! Thank you for the insight.
You missed the fact that (H)ello (N)asty is a Beastie Boys reference and Tallon Roll + boost puts you a ton of places. SPOILERS his helmet said Born to Ill in Aurebesh
suggestion: I would make your movie discussion a separate video. also please for the sake of people that are not paying attention put "spoilers" In the title and description. I feel like you could inadvertently spoil stuff for fans and it has nothing to do with the xwing game.
First just let me say, I love Team Covenant and all that you guys do and I love me some Star Wars. I wanted soooo bad to like this movie I really did. You guys touch on, what ultimately is my main issue with the film, but I think you guys miss the point as well as many other fans have. My main issue is with Rey. She makes my childhood Star Wars hero, Luke Skywalker, a complete tool. Let us assume you are correct and Luke is Rey's father. Me being a father of two daughters of my own, I can't imagine abandoning them on some distant backwood planet would make me father of the year. Oh it was for her own protection somehow others have said and beside, he could sense if she were in danger. Of course! This is why he rushes to her aid so many times during the film when she is in peril! Also, Luke didn't become proficient in the force and lightsaber dueling in under 48 hours of discovery of the force with zero instruction, guidance or training. What makes her so special!? Also, how many friggin planets got destroyed in this movie?!?! Luke still over here like, "aww man shucks, I'm so depressed. Yea I know billions of innocent people are dying and all, but I'm so sad cause my nephew turned out to be a giant butthead." WTF!? To me, the story just isn't showing any love and respect at all to the lore, characters (and their personalities) and/or therefore, the source material from which it is derived. Another example, Han, "Hey Chewy, let me see that. BOOM! Wow I like that." Ok, this part feels like they are definitely treating me and the rest of the audience like a bunch of completely unimaginative morons. Han acts like this is the FIRST TIME he has ever taken notice of his road dog's signature weapon in all the years they have been together!?!?! I understand it is just a movie. But it should have been better. The originals were campy at times but this one feels far too often, far too aloof and jokey hokey like an uncle that keeps uncomfortably jabbing you in the ribs with his elbow telling bad jokes at a birthday party that you find yourself wishing you had rather not attended.
I find the target lock on the FO Ties is kinda meh, aside from some of the ace pilots like Omega Leader and Omega Ace, TL is pretty much useless and you're better off just taking a regular tie for 2-3 less points.
What do you think, do they ever release a T-85 X-Wing, or no? Prepare rampant speculations aaaand... Fight! Ello Asty is a reference to Hello Nasty by the Beasty Boys. Ello's Talon roll to boost maneuver is absolutely disgusting. So many "WTF!" moments incoming. Tim's dice must be absolutely brutal if he thinks it likely to roll 4 blanks on 5 dice. Did you let Steven anywhere near them and a microwave unsupervised for any length of time? Cool Hand doesn't avoid the stress, it just lets you fake an evade or focus after doing one.
+Corey Sharpe his ace pilot team is what provides him this freedom. They make room for him to attack the enemy. He makes the team act safely and retain their shields.
+Gildo Cravo Compared to a nice bottle of scotch, it isn't expensive at all! And that's a hobby that usually only lasts a night or two. X-Wing is forever!
+Team Covenant Thanks for the addition, great video. Indeed, compared to more expensive entertainment products the game may seem cheap. But, if you form a squad I believe it is even more expensive than other games such as board games or card games. In my case, because I live in Brazil, the game comes out even more expensive. Unfortunately the fantasy flight games do not have a specific policy for the distribution at South America and the exchange disrupts all fans of achieving the products of our favorite movie.
+Gildo Cravo That is really unfortunate to hear. Are prices any more reasonable or products more attainable from our store? We do ship worldwide and often have playgroups pool their money together and get everything shipped over at once to save on shipping costs. If you have any specific questions about this please get in touch with us at teamcovenant.com/contact!
*SPOILERS* Ello Asty is the alien pilot who was with Poe in the battle of star killer. He's one with a new race kinda the longer face. But I think he dies in the battle when they go on the trench run.
No, it's too bad for me... and all the other true long time fans that were severely dissapointed in this lackluster production when we were hoping for so much more. Instead we got a non-sensical swiss cheese riddled, 2 hour long, contrived trailer for episode 8. Cash grab. And I wouldn't be surprised if Disney was paying for some of these positive reviews.
Game Talker Well I know a lot of long time fans that really love the movie so yeah, it must suck to be you, not being able to enjoy a great movie for what it is. I really loved the movie and I'm glad I did, because it was a nice experience. You're probably in the minority though, pretty much everyone that talked about it on UA-cam said it was great.
Oh there are dissenters. You usually only see that which you want to. You seem happy that the movie sucked for me. That's really nice and thoughtful of you. I am glad you enjoyed it. I believe I may be entitled to a differing opinion than yours, I'm not quite sure? And I guess the thousands upon thousands of us that were hoping for more just don't count huh? Majority rules I guess? Such is the way of the modern society and culture which we find ourselves these days.
"Show don't tell." Yes. Absolutely. That's what makes Star Wars so, so good.
Let me add that I absolutely love you guys.
Cool hand - does not look like it replaces the stress token, you just get to add focus or evade token while taking stress.
I just picked up the f/o myself and had a full Omega Squadron built.... you guys gave me new ideas for shenanigans, THANKYOU!!
don't know if this is a discrepancy between US and UK releases of the T-70 and Tie FO, but the Wired EPT comes in the T-70 and Cool Hand comes in the Tie FO

+Geert van der Plas Our mistake - you still take the Stress. As for budget - do you need the peripherals that come in the starter?
The new damage deck would be nice, but I don't play competitive so it's not a must.
thanks for the video. purchased this a few days ago. trying not to get too overwhelmed :) any suggestions for someone just starting?
+Joey Garcia Just enjoy things as they are currently. Practice maneuvers and focus on getting your ships in a position where they always have shots on your opponent. Learning to maneuver and put things in the right place is the key to being good at X-Wing!
Any thoughts of when FFG will bring out a proper Poe paint scheme? I would be surprised if it comes out at Gen Con, but that's just my guess.
Greg Grunberg (Matt from heroes)'s character is called Snap Wexely

Tim's shirt is amazing
For real, where is that available?
Probably Teefury, if anywhere.
It would be awesome to have a video where Zack watches this back about what he said about Rey and Luke and give his new feelings after the last jedi cane out.

That Bobakira shirt.

In professional competitions do people treat Empire and First Order as different factions?
MCPaddyB I don't think so. pretty sure the first order is just a sub faction atm so they both go together same as the resistance and rebels
The pilot with the ability to flip used EPTs is Torman, a TIE Bomber pilot, ps 8.
+Richardizme69 Thank you!

doughnut hole maneuver is the 0 speed maneuver found on shittle and yv-666
Asty has one problem if you kit him out.
He´s useless against stress bots.

Force Awakens was horrendous. Felt like over-acted, rushed crap. Rogue One on the other hand... god damn.
Han died because no one would take Kylo seriously. He had to die so we would hate him. Otherwise he's a putts.
