Hi Steve , hope your family and friends are safe and sound . Heard bits and pieces of news about forest fires in Salem and Portland area . Thoughts and prayers to fire crews and anyone affected.
Now, that's what I'm talking about. James almost just a little over a month. And you really can't count the week before for me. 'cause i'm gonna be on my way to see you
Thanks, Keith, Hey, these things are out there. I ran into a few but you gotta look forum and when you first feel and they kind of feel kind of cheap, but they're not. They're actually built very well. I was doing some reading on them last night. And it appears that they have versions of this lantern that are sidewalt and they can be used indoor so I think these might be what people use to use in older camp trailers
@@doinsngoins - I saw that vid, but I thought you may have rigged it up a little better since then. I still haven’t seen another one of those. It has to be a bathroom heater. At least that’s what I’m thinking
Very nice. When I was much younger, we had side street food stall vendors using pressure pump driven kerosene mantle lamps. The gas light is way cooler.
5:38 hey Steve I'm watching your video I really like that Lantern I have two old Burns a Matic lanterns with the original glass the blue ones the blue ones
Oh those globes are hens teeth I have one Bernz globe I found loose with strong green lettering .Bernz make good stuff , I have a video of my burnz double burner stove . Are you seeing mine in the background? 😊
Sure would be cool to find some old oil lamp wall sconces and make a base that threaded on and then clipped into the sconce. And then you could have gas lines coming out of the wall to provide fuel to each lantern. Have a great week, buddy, and dont work too hard
Now there's another fantastic little light! I know the mechanics behind a mantle, but I wonder if there is some way to keep them from breaking or disintegrating especially when transporting in a vehicle. Maybe if I came up with some sort of a wire mesh to go over the top...just something for me to think about! lol
I don't know about that Bruce. But I do know that the new mantles that you buy today are made very poorly and break very easy. The old vintage mantles, particularly the Coleman. Mantles are very tightly woven and surprisingly very strong . For example, I have one on a lanner. That rides in my van every single day and see that's yet to break
I think I seen that in your picking video and thought that was in nice shape. Almost looks new. Never seen that globe before now I see why they are repurposed love the match hole.
Thanks for sharing, my wife and I really like these! Thanks to ebay we have more than we need! The instructions say to replace burner gasket for longer mantle life? I used the large coleman mantle worked. American mantle sells the gasket and large mantles. Paulin bought out humphrey gas light div. And continued selling rebranded lights and equipment into the 1970s .
The later Paulin holed globes are frosted! Real fancy. I have a catalog that lists new holed frosted globes for three dollars each. Ebay has that vintage paulin catalog available now...
That's awesome Steve!!!! I love it I have a Coleman yard lamp that mounts to a post I'm sure you could figure out what I need it is missing some parts I will get with you on it 1 day maybe we could figure something out
Garry , Humphrey, yes, and apperently, they are still in buisness today , they popular will off grid and RV folds and have side wall sconce designs that are reportedly safe for indoor use 👍
Actually, I just use water 💧 on vents, however....if it's really baked on grit I use oven cleaner then rinse it with dish soap and water to naturalize , then rise very well with just water.
Nice lantern very well made.
Great score
I like the Little Humphrey Lantern! Thanks for sharing Steve!
That lantern is awesome, too bad they are being scavenged for the globes and being thrown away . HAPPY HUMP DAY STEVE !

Glad you snagged the lantern.
Thanks for sharing Steve

Looks like a cool lantern. Never seen a Humphrey before. Enjoyed watching. I know I’ve been MIA Steve. Lots going on
Thanks Randino ❤😊
Hope good stuff buddy 👍 🙏
Thanks for sharing the cost. That is an amazing bag...you know the lantern is quality.
Thank you so much 😊 , fun score . Decent price I agree , pays to be there on the last day and late in the day sometimes.
Have a super week , almost Friday
I read that these lanterns are safe for indoors????
My grandparents had humpfry propane wall scones at their cabin . Very safe indoors compared to a lantern.
Nice! I've not seen one of those before. Very quite running.
Yes , your right , very quiet, they are supposed to be safe for indoor
Very cool! I’m impressed with your box of fittings...surely you had something in there to make that heater I gave you work👍🏻
Absolutely! I Even made a video , I used your set up , works perfectly. 💪 thank you Chris 😊
I never pass a brass fitting ever , this is just one of my "small fittings box " haajaaaa

BIG LIKE 43 here! Interesting Lantern…I want to see and hear all about it!!!
Very nice. When I was much younger, we had side street food stall vendors using pressure pump driven kerosene mantle lamps. The gas light is way cooler.
Thank you, Simon. I really appreciate you sharing your experiences. That sounds like a really cool environment.
Nice lantern. The match hole does sounds like a good idea. Thank you for showing it to us, Steve. Stay safe and stay cool
It's cool , I always light my lanterns, however, with the globe off , but still gool
Happy hunting today Sean
I see Chuck has an LMC now
@@doinsngoins What is an LMC? Can it be cured with Penicillin?
I will have to go back into the video and find out what I'm talking about when it comes to an l. M C

No next time pointed out to me in a video my Burns automatic lanterns are blue
Oh wow really ,I have never seen a blue one EVER ! That's cool Greg

Thank you, Bruce and I hope you have a great day. It's beautiful here today. Start to cool down a bit. Sort of feels like fall today

Yes , the glove is also very thick , I almost 🤔 you could drop it .... but I won't 😀
that lantern is sooo cool!!!! LOVE IT

Send me picks Jason !
I was going through my camp stoves and I realized I got a three burner from around 1964
That's Awesome Greg !!!
3 burners are the best 👌 does yours have rounded corners??
Match Hole in the Globe….that’s CLEVER Steve….did you say Humphrey is the brand? What is the history on these? Okay, made in Kalamazoo, Michigan!
Garry , Humphrey, yes, and apperently, they are still in buisness today , they popular will off grid and RV folds and have side wall sconce designs that are reportedly safe for indoor use 👍
Looks like it uses the same parts as the Humphrey propane lights we have had in our cabin since the 50's.
Thank you for sharing, I was suprised to find this company still going strong today , and you are correct !
I'm turning you in for making a profane video!😂
Haaa haa snitch 🤣
Steve, is that just soap and water spray?
Actually, I just use water 💧 on vents, however....if it's really baked on grit I use oven cleaner then rinse it with dish soap and water to naturalize , then rise very well with just water.
Thank you Gabriel !😊
@@doinsngoins thank you Steve.
