I don’t make rings because it looks so complicated but you make it look so easy that I will give it a try. Ty💕
I love to watch your hands at work & listen voice.. 👍😍
THANKS for sharing this video 😙
I have never ask God for a gift, but today, I ask God to give me this gift of wrapping things and making things beautiful for HIM. Amen.
Ya know, I have a knack for this and I was upset to have had a friend try to tell me to stop doing it because she seems to think that crystals are cursed due to her misuse of them in the past :/ this art form brings so much joy to myself and others and the idea of stopping breaks my heart.
This is honestly the most beautiful wire work piece I've seen
Hi
This is the best wire tutorial ever. I will join your Patreon $10 as soon as I get paid!
Thank you for explaining this! When I use a faceted stone in this kind of ring I make a basket for it to sit in and it's definitely much more of a process than this lol.. I will definitely try it this way next time.

He wraps a 30g around a 28g. Mind.Blown.
I wrapped 32g around a 30g once. Drew a line in the sand that day. Raftark has the ratio i use now.
Hi, I have been watching some of your video's here and am loving watching your designs and how to wrap and capture a stone, been from the UK all our wire gauge's are in mm. Could I ask if at all possible if you could include in with your videos a reference to the diameter of wire in mm please. Looking forward to seeing your next video many thanks for the inspiration xx
You can pull up a gage chart online that will refer to mm of that guage so you can reference that while watching.
Bellooo!!!!
Thanks a lot for your video ..do u use dead soft or hard wire for rings ?
I wish I could make this ring style. Mine looks like a few wires got into fights with each other.
Thank you for sharing. I am following all your videos. Very beautiful artistic designs. Are you using fine silver? Can I ask how to calculate how much wire to use when creating my own design?
Would love to see some prong videos...
I love your tutorials, your work is beautiful, could you please tell me what size of faceted stone you used in this video?
Beautiful work! Do you have an Amazon or other affiliate link for the wire you used?
do you use dead soft fo half hard for your half round wraps on the shank?
Any chance this would work with oval cut gems also? Or round?
When you cut off wires, would you ever consider fixing them with a tiny bit of solder ?, really enjoyed the video.
Tom Edginton I would not personally. Most gemstones would not stand up to the heat it requires to solder silver. If done correctly, the wire endings should be fairly sturdy and withstand most daily wear.
@@RaftarkJewelry Thank you, good to know.
Can I use round wires or it has to be square and half round wires?
👏👏👏👏🙌🙌🙌🙌
💜🌷💙
Just out of curiosity, where do you get these beautiful gemstones?
Hi there. I get my gemstones from JTV.COM. You can get 50 carat parcels of mixed gemstones for like $60.00. You can get faceted gemstones, cabochons, whatever you want. You can get mixed gemstones or certain types such as, tanzanite, sapphire, topaz, garnet, etc.
Do you use silver wire or gold wire? Or is that not a good idea and why?
I use sterling silver for all of these videos
Where do you get your silver wire ?
what size are the gems? or carats?
how do you know how much wire it will take? I end up with piles of scrap because sometimes the only way to figure it out is to cut it long and then measure the difference. What do you do to figure out your supply needs?
I would like to use larger stones. Is that going to work?
D.H. Fremont - yes, I’ve used larger faceted stones using this technique. Make sure you use an inch or so more of the half round that you use to join the two halves of the ring shank together to accommodate the larger stone.
where do you take your stones ?
Beautiful!! Can you make a man ring? Thank you
Is there a trick to keep the stone in place.
I'm sure you get this question all the time, but do you do anything else to the loose ends of the wires other than just pressing them down on top of the ring shank? It seems like they would unravel over time without glue or something to cement them down. Does this ever become an issue?
This is a great question! When done properly, the endings should be tucked underneath the wires coming over the top/outside of the band and should now be able to catch or come loose. That being said, it is still a fairly fragile form of jewelry and isn’t exactly suited to hard use.
I work as a bench jeweler, so if I were to make a ring I was planning on fabricating or casting to be more durable I would approach it in an entirely different way. But that’s a whole different field of work, this method is fun and very easy for anyone to do from home without many tools :)
And as a second follow up, no I would not glue or cement personally
@@RaftarkJewelry Cool. Thanks
Where did you get the stones from?
O God, tyvm for these guides, I havent find How to make these small silver coils, now I understand How do the ppl make it and sell for thousands dollars. Now Im looking for a wire to buy and cheap Stones, could anyone help me in it? Ozon, joom? I dont understand which gauge and length should I buy
Why do these pendants cost this much? I think its overpriced lol
I work with copper wire. But I'm having trouble finding half round and square wire. Where do you get yours?
Masshole Shelley - check out Rio Grande. They carry a large assortment of wire in copper silver, brass, nickel silver, gold, gold filled, silver filled, and almost anything else you can think of. Their prices are reasonable and they also have a great tool selection. It’s the go to place for many jewelers of all different genres.
@@carriemarsh1634 thanks!
@@carriemarsh1634 shipping outside the USA is really terrible though. Copper comes in 1 lbs spools, and hey, paying eighty bucks to bring it down to Poland is waaay too much. Its not like there is much of a choice though, you either buy from them or make your own wire when it comes to anything else than silver.
Anekca- try googling copper wire supplies in Europe and see what you find. I’m pretty sure you will find multiple sources with less expensive shipping fees and ones where delivery is much faster. When I responded to Masshole Shelley, I was speaking about the best place to buy products in the continental US.
@@carriemarsh1634 well, I believe I've seen every online shop with english text and Rio seems to be the best place worldwide. You can buy silver and gold everywhere, but when it comes to base metals - consider yourself lucky to see two or three gauges of round and nothing else.
All dead soft sterling silver??
Hi, thank you :) please what is the size of the Faceted Stone?
If I remember correctly it is a 5mm topaz
@@RaftarkJewelry Thank you for the answer 😊
most important ?-what size stones????????????
Wrapping 30 around 28 is mind blowing not near as easy as hes making it look
I think could prolly pull off 30 around 26
U never said how long the 18 g square wire was. *The 4 pieces for "the shank"...
6inches each, my apologies!
Nice
