It feels almost poetic that I found this game through Shenpai, consumed it and her vods of it, then she started working with Dan for the mini-me and some co-op games, and now here we are with Dan trying it out himself. Amazing game, can't wait to see RT both love and loath it!
I found Shenpai through this game. Watching for people who played it because I got extremely obsessed. Glad to see Dan tried it.

4:08:30 Oh no RT, the tempo is actually quite different between stages. It's just the flow is so well done that you don't even realize how different it can be at times.

Okay no but seriously I saw Shenpai play this and it looks amazing! I always find that Rhythm games are full of so much wit and charm whether they're short mini games or story based. Rhythm heaven, Wario ware, Rhythm Doctor, Fire and Ice, Parappa, No straight roads, just to name a few. They're all great!
Hi-Fi Rush deserves all the attention its getting from xbox shooting tango gameworks

this game might have genuinely been my game of 2023. It is so damn good and im beyond thrilled the studio was saved
This game was a massive success by any metric so it really was bs that Microsoft closed the studio.
Good news is the studio was saved by another publisher!! So we will see a second High-Fi Rush at some point!

For someone without rhythm, he's actually more consistent than I, lol. I actually 100% this game and my average Just Timing is around 70%. And RT is pushing 80% in most of his fights so far.
Granted, idk if he's going to be able to do the post game. It's rough.

this'll probably be buried, but if all yalls liked hi fi rush, feel free to also take a look at its seasian predecessor: no straight roads! it's also a rhythm-based platformer with an amazing look and stellar soundtrack. coincidentally, it's celebrating its 4 year anniversary in a few days!

But for real, MASSIVE props to The Glass Pyramids for their work on the original songs. If you ever play the game for yourself, take a moment and play a books fight with steamer mode off and on. Hell, even just the opening. They do an AMAZING job mimicking the licensed songs, especially considering the variety of music. They do a spot on Black Keys, a very convincing Nine Inch Nails impression, TWICE(!) all while keeping the vibes, rhythm and mood of the original songs. Truly incredible, I love this game so fucking much

Just finished the game an hour ago, I’d been avoiding spoilers and I so badly wanted to give in and watch live. But Kale is a bastard and I’m so glad I finished the game myself before watching someone else enjoy it

Got really excited that he was playing this for the nin song specifically then realized that he’d probly be playing the non licensed version on stream. Still a sick game though and I’m excited to watch this vod!
