I love the humming! It was helpful :) Thanks for the tutorial! I was trying to learn the basic step for Rockabilly Jive as I'd seen a competition where they did that and it looked so fun! We already know swing, so it shouldn't be too big a jump to this other style, as you said many of them are certainly connected. Thanks again! Super fun :D
Fabulous video. I've been rock n roll dancing over 35 years ( danced my feet off last night) , but whilst I know all the moves my new husband has struggled. I came across this video and asked him to watch it. Everything you were talking about I've tried to tell my husband but he couldn't get it. But lo and behold after watching this video he's mastered it. Last night he was asked if he'd been having dance lessons. He was well impressed with himself...and I was. Are you on Facebook?
Aw, this is the best! So happy y'all are able to dance it out now. 🙌🏼🤘🏼 Thanks for watching. More tutorials in 2023 are coming. 😉 Yes, we are on Facebook, Instagram, and TikTok. All under the handle time2swing. 😊 Dance on 🤘🏼
Ah, nothing like a young couple trying to teach a dance from before they were born. Firstly, there is no such thing as a "Rockabilly Jive" and secondly and more importantly, you have to move to the rhythm and not the beat.....anyhow, thats how we did it in the actual 50's....but what do we know?
Thanks for your comment. As we do understand that it may have not been called that in the 50s maybe it was pure Rock n Roll, Jive or others...(just as the term Swing encompasses many styles) For here on UA-cam many search the term Rockabilly Jive as Jive means something else today and when at events we've heard it called both ways. We are trying to preserve what is left and be as authentic as we can. And you can dance to the rhythm or beat technically...as rhythm can change/has changes beat is constant to help the dancer stay on- well beat, lol. We do appreciate your comment and it's all about having fun to just dance. Thanks!
Thanks for the lesson !
Thanks for watching and dancing with us! More to come in 2023 😉🤘🏼
These kids are the best...... see you at Viva

@@time.2swing I understand your point but as you say that you want to be as authentic as you can...you clearly are not.
