Howdy Ross. Your Christmas Eve Super 88, I remember seeing that tractor on the auction site a few years ago. I really wanted to bid on it but I didn't have the money for it then. I'm glad that you got it and I'm glad it has been a good tractor for you. My 770 I bought a couple years ago still needs some work, but it runs really well for as tired as it is. Thanks for the videos. I hope you have a good one!
I started watching this video earlier today, I had a lot of interruptions, but finally finished it. Neat back stories, I enjoyed all the history with your collection of tractors. Thanks for sharing your experiences with these time capsules. I hope you have a nice evening!
Love the stories Ross, I like the stories more than you struggling along with some of the projects, because it reminds me of my struggles! Keep up the good work!
No need to apologize. Even though I've heard about several of these, I enjoyed the revisiting of the stories. I just love the back stories, and my recall ability doesn't work well 😂😂😂. So, just give me a month or so, and I'll enjoy the stories again 😂😂😂. Take care and I'll see you later.
Very interesting and enjoyable to watch, Knowing back stories on tractors makes them more valuable to me especially if they belonged to a family member or friend. Think of those people every time you get in the seat. Almost like they are there with you.
I have a 550,too with Skiploader on it, but I need someone to help me, find the answers for if I need to separate the engine from the transmission completely or does it have a cover and a squeeze coupling on the shaft because something else came loose inside the bell housing area and it vibrates like crazy after it gets above idle no missing in the engine no smoke no nothing going on in the engine something behind the engine and I can’t find it, if you know how to help me, BigAl California thanks
Thank you Ross. Sometime in the "warmer" future, could you go over the differences between the 77, Super77 and 770, same with the 88's and 880? No rush with this request, that is if you'd want to explain it. I've always been partial to the 50 and 55 series, mainly the 1650-1950/55 and the 2255's. As always, great video, cheers :)
I bought a Super 55 a couple of years ago and got the build card for it. It had been shipped to Quebec and found its way back here to Michigan. It also has a Ledoux loader on it which was was made in Quebec according to the tag on it. It would be fun if they could talk and tell us how they got moved from place to place.
I loved my grampas 1961 550 with the same loader minus hydraulic bucket. But it was plumb worn out. Engine needed overhaul and front spindles were extremely worn. But extremely handy and would pick up anything we had
The paint by VanScickle is very poor, even if you put a hardener in it. My Bride has a HotRod Fiat that has 140 mph tires on it. The new ones from foreign-made Pirelli are well over $200 apiece. She is tough on tires because even at her age she drives like a mad-woman. She is on her 3rd set of tires in 90k miles but the last time we went to the electronic sales we bought a set of Chinese-made tires and the brand is Joy Road. They look the same, run the same, and appear to be lasting the same, but were more than half the price. Living on a gravel road that is very poorly maintained by an inept road commissioner also hurts the tires. The little Fiat 500 is fun to drive. Turn the ESC off, put it in sport mode and it will scare you. Cruise at 90 is no problem and she does it.

Quite a historical journey. It would be nice in a written or recorded format for posterity!!!
Love listening to tractor stories. Nice video Ross
Ross you should start in the spring when it's warm to paint , and do prep work on all that needs new paint and prime and paint them .
Great video Ross, thanks for sharing
The 1800 is one of my favorites definitely love it with the narrow front end
Thank you, Ross. Looking forward to part 3.
Thanks again for the tour Ross, you've got some cool stuff.
You should do a tractor painting video that would be cool
It is fun revisiting the stories every now and again. Thanks for sharing them.

Those gear reduction starters are a lifesaver! I’ve liked them so much, I just ordered one for my 1750 gas as well
Where do you get those high torque starters if you don’t mind me asking?
I have to ask why do you need another 77..... Mamma Bear gave us a sneak peek 😂
👍
I enjoy this and part one alot, I had no Idea that 1755 had original paint. Did you take the Oliver oval off the 550 or did it fall off?
What about your Jubilee?
Titan tires are made in the Midwest...USA...not Chineseum 😂

Love seeing those old Oliver dealer badges. When I was a kid I had one of my father’s dealerships stuck on my head board.
What was your major in college?
arent the alliance tire made in israel?
biggun447 Sorry that was meant for Ross
