    Oh Tanya you can't believe how much I appreciate this tutorial!! Not sure if you've watched the series White Lotus, one of the characters wears these beautiful fish bone earrings and I've been trying to figure out how to put them together and you have just given me the answer. Thank you so much!!🙏🏻❤❤

      About beads,I got tons of very old beads from my local bead store ( they did not survive Covid) and when whey clean basement lots of glass they had were from different countries, and pretty old ( 40 years in business ) so I purchased quite a lot

    it seems like forever that I haven't worked on any pieces. Been sick with the flu and have been waiting for my new torch. Have been reviewing your videos in the meantime. I finally received my new torch (yesterday) with an on/off switch. I made a few balled pins. Some came out with good sized balled ends, while others came out small and with a tiny pin sticking out of the end. I must not be holding the wires right. It is a good strong torch. Any suggestions?
    Am looking forward to your new Tuesday video. Stay well.

    I’ve watched almost all of your videos and I am now ready to purchase a tumbler. Can you please tell me a good one to purchase along with the shot and cleaning agents. Do you machine buff you pieces or only hand buff. Is also like to know what hand buffer you use. Do you make all of your own jump rings and if so what gauge wire would you recommend. I know this a lot to answer and I apologize for being so excited to get started. I love your work and would also like to let my personal creative side come out in the wire. Have a blessed day 💕 Dianna

    Tanya, did you solder the wire leaf-shaped element that you added to the fishtail? If so, could you provide some soldering tips to newbies like myself. I just purchased some tools/materials to get started on simple soldering, but I'm a little nervous about how to start. There are some pretty good instructional videos out there, but yours are my absolute favorite!

    • @4girlsjewelry
      @4girlsjewelry  2 роки тому

      Yes it was soldered .... my ex husband did... i still dont solder... i think its my next step... and i will film if i start:)))

      @@4girlsjewelry I'm intimidated by soldering the way I was intimidated by the torch. I got over my fear of the torch and it's been so liberating. I'm determined to overcome my soldering phobia! By the way, your unique approach to jewelry design has been so freeing. I love the organic quality of your work, how no two pieces are exactly the same, and that you throw symmetry (mostly--not with respect to earrings, of course) out the window!!! It's refreshing and re-invigorating!

    Hi Tania, I was wondering if you oxidize your copper ear wires or just leave them bare?

    • @4girlsjewelry
      @4girlsjewelry  2 роки тому

      I always oxidize and protect the whole piece

    I purchased a real torch today and will try it tomorrow. My old torch, I bought before covid is culinary torch, it is NOT strong. I was able to ball 24 ga wire, 22 ga took forever and forget about 20 ga. I even tried 16 ga, I held the flame on the 16 ga end for so long that the fuel ran out of the torch. The cut end of the wire did not change at all..very frustrating. The only good thing about the culinary torch is that it is small and easy to handle. It would be great if it did what I wanted. LOL

      I like my torch a lot, I can make tons of balled pins in no time… if u have tiny pin sticking u just remove from fire to quick, also try do it in a angle , not pointing fire from straight angle, i do it even without thinking…

      Find the place in the flame where you begin to see green appear that's when I know I have found the sweet spots, experiment, you'll see what I'm talking about ;)
