      Sí, sin duda debido al país o a otros cambios técnicos.

    Hello my friend I just purchased the same amplifier but cannot get it to power on when I connect the power on to it.i tried watching another video which explains to use a separate power charger of 12volts to power up the relay inside the unit but does not explain where to connect the wires would you be able to help out as I tried looking for info on line and lot of the pages which talk about this amp and in Czech.

      Hello! Cut the cube shaped plug. There are 3 wires: 2x "plus" (+) and 1x "minus" (-). One of these wires has a the *white stripe* on it, is the minus (-). The 2 others are the "plus" (+) go and drill them (both). Connect now these (final) 2 wires to the 2 wires from powersupply. Look for correct polarity. I took a 12V / 500 mA, but 250 mA supply als good.But I did make a switch that I not allways must pull the power supply out. The good thing is, you can use any low-voltage switch then. Because it switches only the 12 Volt to handle. But if you not want modify inside, you can buy a switchable intermediate plug to put the power supply in. Then you need not open the Sharp 8800 and not put a hole + switch on it.

      @rick6910000: Yes cut the original 12V plug from the power supply look for correct polarity and connect correct to the 12V wire from Sharp.

      When you put the power adapter into power do you hear some clicking (click) from inside the Sharp? If you did all ok, then the relais inside Sharp must clip 1x inf you pot on power and 1x if you put power supply out. So listen this. If no send me your email address!

    Tastefully selected switch. How do you evaluate the sound?

      Thank you :-) Yes, I often had seen opposite, so it was important to find some more decent solution. Also if you make operate the 8800 as "solo" device with wall plug transformator like I did the "power" switch must switch only 12 volts. And you have much greater spectrum to choose a "good looking" switch, even smaller ones. Or choose a nice place for it. The sound is absolutely not as bad as often stated. Of course it is no Sansui, but I have 2 power amps with STK 4050 hybrid chips and the 8800 has more % THD then the Lenco AF3310, which has a "better" (special) version of the STK4050 with much less TDH. Read my video description on my clip ua-cam.com/video/v5azFQjvRi0/v-deo.html for detailed infos about this. But sound 8800 is realy not bad, also if you like it "louder". He has very good power, of course...

      Interesting ideas.
      I have a good opinion about Sanyo hybrids. I came across them in Grundig and Siemiens amplifiers and all sound nice, even the cheapest, so these hybrids can not be bad. These Siemens are copies of Sanyo, only with the imprint of Siemens. But the Grundig V8400 (I have) is a piece of interesting electronics.
      I wonder if I can not buy this Sharp for myself. It's the current that probably takes as much as the iron, but I feel like it.
      Is it true that STK does not like the current 230V?

    • @hifiboy3896

      Yes of course 8800 consumes a lot engergie - for everyday use, if not party :-) ... You can also take a Sharp 7700 (130 watts) they are smaller and cheaper one to buy. Consume less energy. Not so heavy. He has even some more brilliant and vibrant sound (my opinion) I know them boths. I have a lot of devices with STKs. Onkyo receivers like TX-2000, TX-3000, or SABA VS-2160 (not real STK, is Darlington) amplifier, Onkyo A-15 and A-25, Onkyo TX-1500 MKII, Lenco AF-3310... they work since 1y all now, no problem. Only the Saba VS-2160 was when I buyed used with one of 2 Darlington power packs destroyed. And this is (I read in forums) from very thight construction / circuit planing. Here in EU it was at this time 220V, now 230V and in forum SABA did read that this Darlington worked already with that 220V at this time small outside its limits (specific., data sheet) so later with 230V then even more. And so can destroy more likley. I buyed 2 rebuilds ("fakes") for the VS-2160, bcs. no originals avlb. But they work now like charm, no problem. I think they are "today production" and some more durable, not so sensible, more modern. But all other STK (old, original) never an problem. As long not buyed used device with defect ones. Or do not abuse them (clean air flow, heat sink clean etc.) And good sound also, also other vintage hifi freaks tell so (about Onkyo A-15, A-25) and I hear myself this :-) The brands would in late 70' and early 80' NOT used them for good labels like Onkyo if not ok from sound. It was a very hard competition at this time and if sound quality would have been more bad it would spread trough all Hifi test in hifi magazine. And no people would have buyed...

      I missed the auction yesterday. And I could buy the SX-8800H for 300 złoty, that's about 70 €.

    • @hifiboy3896
      @hifiboy3896  5 років тому +1

      @@RhumZeiss When he was in good condition then 70 € is normal price, even not high. So I wish you luck with him. The problem with auction often the high weight or they pack it bad for sending and arrives destroyed. So if possible pickup yourself. Mine was about 20km away, so it was acceptable.

    Quanto custa esse amplificador

    • @hifiboy3896
      @hifiboy3896  4 роки тому +2

      Custa entre 50 e 120 euros, pelo menos na Europa. Dependendo da condição, os preços são muito diferentes. Mas principalmente 80-100 euros. Vale a pena procurar, esperar e comparar.

      @@AlexSantos-kn4lf Isso também não vai funcionar. O dispositivo é um amplificador de potência pura. Vai precisar de um pré-amplificador também. Para uma mesa giratória você precisa de um pré-amplificador com entrada fono. O sistema Sharp também era composto por várias partes. O 8800 é capaz de tirar um rolamento de um misturador ou smartphone, mas não para um toca-discos. Uma mesa giratória tem um sinal de saída 100x inferior ao de outros dispositivos hifi. Também deve ser equalizada.
