No boerboel should ever weigh 180-200 lb that's just the result of breeding fat dogs full of health problems and that can't even move. This dog list only includes the largest breeds that can weigh That much and being HEALTHY. An healthy boerboel should never ultrapass 75 kg
So happy to see my breed: Great Dane! Had them for decades. I'm getting older and don't have the strength for them as I did in my 20s - but I love them so much, it's hard to stop wanting 'just one more'. :-)
@@anamatovic5719 the Kangal shouldn’t be that size, they are commonly mistaken for the other Turkish breeds that are much larger, Boz shepherds and Malaklis as well as the Anatolian shepherd. All different breeds. As for the CO, true working ones are big yes but they’re not these monstrous numbers you see now from pet owners that cause their dog to be fat so they can brag about the number on the scales
@@GiantsBeauceronsRugby What you mean "that size"? Kangal is big, should be on the list. They are not meant to be 90cm like some, but still big enough to be on the list. 70-80cm is standard height for the breed. There is a lot of them 90cm or more. But still 80cm is big enough to be on the list.

Some of the largest were missed: Malakli, Tosa Inu, Alabai, Caucasian Ovcharka, Pyrenean Mastiff, Kangal, Boerboel, Black Russian Terrier, Cane Corso, Swiss Mountain dog
I love big dogs. Mine isn’t one of the biggest but he’s very big & aggressive. I have a 135 lb American Akita. They don’t slobber. They are amazing athletes. Go Akita!
They are beautiful and strong. You don't have to have the biggest dog. Sometimes they can be slow. So Akita is the right choice, big enough and strong, and beautiful.
Great video! But no mention of the Central Asian shepherd 😭 not only an amazing breed but almost DOUBLE the lifespan of all these other large breeds at 17 years. I don’t know if it’s just me but I find that amazing for a large dog breed.
FCI Breed Standard weight for the CAO is 110lbs. I know you can find them much bigger on the internet but the breed's standard is what it is. In my experience filming CAO, I would estimate the largest male I filmed was about 130lbs., that's why they're not on the list. But definitely an amazing breed!

The Broholmer (Danish Masstiff) and Boerboel (South African Masstiff) are extremely large and powerful dog breeds and make great guard dogs and lovable companions. At about 30" tall and weighing in about 130lbs for males. The Tosa Inu and Fila Brasileiro are also extremely large and powerful mastiffs and do all that is mentioned in the video. For size and strength the Kangal, Boerboel and Tosa Inu are the strongest and most cases, biggest of dog breeds. ✌🏽♥️

@@The1whoStrives Ok, but how can they have seperate breed. They need to make it out of something. I've read that Malakli is Kangal mastiff, and Boz is Kangal Great dane mix. But I think Kangal is better, I think he is faster, stronger, then those mixes that are supposed to be just bigger.
@@anamatovic5719 Boz are a breed on their own and their slighter body style is influenced by ancient Tazi sight hounds. The Aksaray Malakli is also a separate pure breed on its own. Both of them are variants of the coban copegi . The Boz is from the Yoruk regional variant while the Kangal is a stand-alone variant. Don't listen to those that say that they are crossbreeds, the only slightly true part about that is that some unethical breeders may crossbreed them with Great Danes and English mastiffs, but there is no need for that. @@DogumentaryTV I agree. All the fit working Boerboels I know and knew were under 75 kgs (about 165 pounds). A breeder I work with had a stud dog called Freud (quite famous too) who weighed over 90 kgs (200 pounds) and while the dog was not really overweight, he was not a fit dog nor could he ever attain the stamina needed for work. Beautiful and imposing yes, but just too big.

Know of several Boerboel males local to me here in the uk that are very slim but still weigh 180-200. Would say average for the breed in my experience is 170-180 for males. Like others have said this isn't the top 10 largest its just 10 large dogs you like. Maybe the title is the issue

Bully Kutta is more of a Pakistani mastiff rather than India's. In the latter country, it is popular only in its small Punjab province. In contrast, this dog breed is popular throughout Pakistan. Everyone in Pakistan knows this breed.
Could you do a video discussing the different breeds banned in different countries and the reason behind these banning and discuss whether its a fair judgment or not! I always find it interesting how different breeds are banned in different countries but never really understand the reasoning!

The GREAT DANE! I had a American male brindle who topped out at 184.2 lbs. And I was lucky enough to have him with us for 11 years & 4 months. 🤗🥰
When someone doesn't Add Malaklis,BOZ Shepherd,Alabai & COV then you shud automatically tell that they know nothing about large dog breeds!!!
Alabai isn't supposed to be huge.

Belgian Malinois should have been much higher on the list. I'd much rather see a first time owner handle a Rotty or a Boxer, than a Malinois.
